When does Black Clover "get good"?

I'm currently reading the Black Clover manga. Right now, I am on chapter 48 and I'm still not hooked. It's not bad (it's much better than the anime at least), but the fights are pretty boring and I like only a few of the characters.

What I want to know is, does Black Clover ever "get good," or does it just keep going in the same direction? Is there anything to look forward to that makes the series worthwhile, like a particular arc or character moment? Please let me know what you think. Thank you!!

The revive arc is the best arc and it starts in like ch. 130 i believe. If you find it ok so far, then I would recommend to read further. If it's like soo bad for you, I'd drop it then.

Without any straight up spoilers. Also i dont know how far you made it in the anime. BC is honestly my guilty pleasure so i may be bias but attempting to set that aside. Most people ive talked with get hooked on Black Clover during the underwater temple arc. Which would be the next arc for you in the manga if you are at ch48 after yami vs licht the underwater temple has the first true all out fight. Major growth for 1 character in particular with teases for 2 other character arcs/back story/growth also introduces 'strong magic regions' outside the clover kingdom building on the world outside the diamond heart and spade kingdoms already mentioned. Builds on the first wizard king vs demon story. Foreshadowing of power up and character potentail(no ass pulls). Next arc witches forest is also just as strong of a arc that not only gives you some answers to some questions but sets you up for more questions.and of course theres the war arc sortly after that that i cant go into at all without potentailly spoiling major... Lets just say a bunch of epic moments. Like i said im a bit bias but where you are now is where it, i guess you could say "Surpasses its limits" every chapter going forward. Anyways id say at least read through ch 100 that gets you through both the arcs i mentioned. With that said theres a few major thing that happen after that that nobody ever saw coming and everyone(ive seen and talked to anyways) has loved.

first chapter is enough to tell everything. it simplicity is the strength. if you didn't like it, i don't think it will change.

I think its good the entire time, there are some retarded recap episodes but other than that its great. The manga is perfect.

It depends on the individual.

For me, Black Clover was good from the start and only got better as it progressed - with a slight slip in the Witches' Forest Arc and then in the Spade Arc - but for others it took varying amounts of chapters/episodes to really get good.

Some people liked it since the Dungeon Arc, others since the Nean Arc, for some it took until the Underwater Temple Arc and others pushed on until the Reincarnation Arc and then started finding it "good".
