| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- George and King are walking in the midst of a snow storm and they come across an officer fighting off some gang members that are trying to free their captive boss. The officer is able to fight them off, but all of his men are killed in the process. The officer is all alone with the two prisoners and is unable to carry them to their destination. He demands George and King help him, but they refuse and leave. King decides to turn back because he wants to do something good for once. George tells him that he might have to kill more people, but they decide to turn back and help the officer. They make it back in time to save him from more of the goons trying to save their boss. After killing all the goons, King picks up the prisoners in their basket cages and George helps the officer since he got injured. They walk off into the distance and that's how the story ends. The ending feels somewhat abrupt, but it's not like it's confusing. I just wish that the manga was a bit longer and ended more smoothly. Especially since this manga had a really promising story. Overall, it was an enjoyable read. I give it an 8/10. |
| The illustrations especially earlier in the manga were pretty awesome. The way he used different perspectives and the detail put into landscapes with the scruffy art style was really nice. The story itself wasn't as good. It's typical for his characters to be pretty despicable or at least commit disgraceful actions but Kingu killing all the townspeople in that one chapter due to being wrongfully accused was probably the low point of this story and didn't really add up with anything else he spoke about. |
