| I guess under these criteria that the best original anime for me is Samurai Champloo. Now I do know that there was a manga release that predated the anime release by a few months, but if I remember correctly from a source, the manga itself was influenced by the anime's drafted narrative from pre-production, so technically in this case it was the anime, or rather its narrative that came before the manga, as it was intended for the manga to be a supplement to the anime. This is just one of the quirky cases that I'd thought would be interesting to share. |

| I finished all of Yoshiura Yasuhiro's works, and while most of his stories are initriguing with great ideas, unfortunately most fail at being great for one reason or another. ... Except for Time of Eve. That easily remains his best so far. |

| My latest original watch was Serial Experiments Lain. I didn't love it, but it was certainly very interesting. It was still odd from a rewatch. It's kinda great, but not clear enough on some aspects. I get why it's popular, but it's a tiny bit overrated. Anyway. My next eventual planned original anime I think will be from the same producer, Haibane Renmei. |
