| I don't really like the dialogue in this scene. The metaphors are tenuous and flow badly. They should have been established prior to connect with the action better, setup and "punchline". It tries to go the way of a philosophical confrontation in being flowery but they don't pick up and subvert each others lines effectively. Maybe I'm just missing knowledge of well known Japanese idioms and proverbs or the translation I'm reading drops the ball hard. Riz just seems to be rambling here with the "pupils" and "special wall" part. Admittedly it would be appropriate for a psychotic episode, but he is clearly meant to also have some gravitas as the enemy. |
