Title, looking for an anime where the main character is a doctor or healer, can be a fantasy healer as well as long as that is their main job. I don't want to watch a show like Monster, it has to be mainly about their job as a doctor or healer and other stuff on the side.

Please check my list first to make sure I haven't seen it already,

thank you.

There is Kuchuu Buranko like the other guy said, but he's a psychiatrist and not a real doctor :>.

Aside from that I really only know of two Tezuka works that have doctors as their main characters (since Tezuka was a doctor himself at some point). One of them is Black Jack which also has been mentioned by the guy above. It isn't really realistic a lot of the time, but it's pretty good still, especially the OVA (https://myanimelist.net/anime/1520/Black_Jack).

The second one is Hidamari no Ki, which has a historical setting and is about a doctor in the 18th century trying to popularize western medicine in Japan against a lot of political resistance. It's not fully dedicated to just showing him doing his job, but he is one of the two main characters and gets a lot of focus, I'd say he's the more important one between the two. It's basically a historical panorama of the times but with a heavy focus on the western vs. eastern medicine debate. There's also a bunch of politics tho.

That's pretty much all the anime about doctors that I know of, and I know most anime. That's why I didn't check your list, because even if you've seen them already there is not really anything else I can recommend anyway.

Well, wechnically there is this:
https://myanimelist.net/anime/3326/Inaka_Isha

But it's an independent short adaption a short story by Kafka so probably not what you're looking for.

Since you mentioned fantasy healer maybe something like Mushishi could work, but even that's a stretch and you've probably seen it already since it's pretty well known.
I probably regret this post by now.

+100 Hidamari no Ki

The original manga was written by the famous Tezuka Osamu, who was himself also trained as a physician. The doctor in the story is Tezuka's great-grandfather, and his father appears as well.

And a thank you to Pullman for pointing me to the recent fansub for this show. Until recently there were only four episodes available, but now there is a new release with all twenty-five episodes subtitled.

Mushishi
Not a doctor but the mc's investigations often result in him healing someone of some paranormal condition so it ends up having a "doctor-y" feel to it. Some of those episodes were the most heartwarming ones.

Since I'm already here I'll mention:
Strike Witches
Only because the protag does have as her main power a healing ability (as well as protective shields). She comes from a family that runs a rural clinic and indeed wants to continue the family practice until events/people muddy things up.

Fyi it's fanservice/ecchi fare so stay away if loli's flying around in their pantsu isn't your cup of tea. Mentioning this upfront otherwise people will think I'm trolling you.

There's also Young Black Jack, which is more modern and shorter than Black Jack tv anime (can be an easier start to franchize).

How about a psychiatrist? Kuuchuu Buranko

Not my favorite of Nakamura Kenji's work (that would be Mononoke), but anything he directs deserves a look.

There is also a psychiatrist who is an important supporting character in Ghost Hound.
