| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Chiaki was finally sensible for once, and said that his father shouldn't marry "for him" without taking into consideration his own feelings and the feelings of the women he was getting close to without really wanting a commitment. I finally find myself agreeing with him on something. But then the talk went to parents and kids. It's true that you should always be the most important person in your life. Even as a parent you should be able to stand on your own two feet so that you can help your kid to stand on their own. But that's why family planning is so important. A person doesn't ask to be born, and this world isn't a kind place either. People should only have kids if they can really afford to support them. And not only in a financial way, they need to be emotionally available and there for them. Of course it isn't this simple for many people out there with less opportunities, but for people like Maron's or Zen's parents or like Chiaki's father, it should be a given. But welp, I thought Myst was cruel but I guess that Noin can be even worse. Toying with a life and wtih Maron's trust like that... He is truly a demon. She has to make a difficult decision now and I can only hope that the boy will be alright. |
