I pray that the first episode skips the part of the manga where Riruru does a full on kiss with Tsukasa to feed him.
I fear that this would put off many people from watching what I hope to be an excellent anime.

I don't see why any show would want to "weed out the normies" since they are trying to maximize viewership. I could somewhat understand it if a show was specifically appealing to a certain demographic, but the rest of the manga (that I have read at least) hardly contains this kind of material.

First episodes usually have a very significant impression on the viewer and whether or not they will continue to watch the show so I think it would be better if the show tries to stand out from all the other isekai stories that have been told.

This possible situation reminds me of Goblin Slayer's first episode. Now I haven't watched the first episode or read the manga, but from what I''ve been told, the first episode was an extreme outlier to the rest content of the show. It contained rather disturbing material and seemed very edgy given how it killed off characters we had just met. This however, does not reflect the tone of the show in really any way.
