And I'm done, the season finished itself off with one final battle involving the princess.

Overall, 3/10 for me. I found the show boring and ordinary, it did pick up a little in the end but it wasn't anything too significant.

I went to Novel Updates and checked how well the novels were received and it does seem to be a little popular but its reception was mixed. From the reception and the amount of chapters I don't think it would be worth my time to read. I might just end up continuing onto season 2 and 3 to see if it gets any better and if it doesn't I probably just drop the series.

I agree, I expected due to him being raised by a master he would have some skills, it's an ok show. I might watch season 2

It was fine for me.
Its a typical Chinese Martial arts story troupe. popularised by the Duke of Mount Deer.
Difference would be the fact that he was rised by a Sage from a baby till he was a teen.
His inability to Xu Xing is due to his body. But he still has the cunning and knowledge he has been taught.

It was fun to watch. short episodes made it more palatable.
Finally fights were well done.
There are characters that are overbearing and characters that seem overbearing but turn out to be good rivals.

Either way onto season 4, and so far I am enjoying the marathon of 5 seasons.

This donghua was a disappointment.
First, the story is a bit abrupt at times. The continuity isn't that great.
Second, the fight scenes are mostly terrible.
I really dislike how the audience kept saying that the fighting was exciting, but it was really boring in my eyes.
Anyway, the season wasn't the worst I have ever seen, but it barely manages to be average.
