| I've thought about why it's so taboo before as well. It doesn't make much sense to me beyond the whole birth defect thing, so if they're not having kids why should anyone care? And punishing it as if it were a crime; that seems pretty ridiculous. Though for some reason the idea of mother/son, father/daughter (or vice versa) relationships do weird me out. Cousin or sibling relationships make a little more sense to me, I guess. |

| As some people said, this topic is very sensitive and it depends on many things, like in my region, it's totally fine to marry/ love cousins, in fact, it's rather preferred to marry cousins (Even though our family doesn't believe in this thing). Also, siblings incest can happen everywhere, specially if the couple didn't know that they are blood related, or if they were actually NOT related (step siblings). So there is no need to be disturbed by incest, unless it's the kind of twisted incest that happens between adults and children (loli/shota) complex! Now that's disturbing >,< Other than that, it's quite normal.. and sometimes interesting :) |
