Nickelodeon used to be really good. I loved watching Nicktoons:

Doug
Rugrats
Rocko's Modern Life
Hey Arnold
CatDog
The Angry Beavers

Now, I just watch Spongebob Squarepants.

Most of the retards here do not understand the value of classic Looney Toons.

Yep, South Park, Avatar (who isn't?) and animated movies from time to time when they're of Up or Iron Giant quality. And man, Invader Zim!!

I also liked Code Lyoko, French animation, they're been getting good at animation lately.

I've never really liked American cartoons. I did like most Disney movies, if that counts for anything.

Edit: Oh, no, wait. Spoke too soon. I did enjoy Teen Titans a great deal. I also liked some incarnation of Gargoyles (Only watched it once, but I remember it being extremely long - like four hours; never finished it). Also X-men Evolution, Jackie Chan Adventures, Justice League. Those sort of stuff.

The reason I watch anime isn't because of some fetish for Japan, but because I like cartoons, but I'm not a 7-year old, which is what most American cartoon makers think. Japan happens to make a lot more animation that isn't so terrible or childish.

I watch Futurama and Robot Chicken, I used to watch family guy before it became pure politics, and I used to watch Justice League, Justice League United, Batman Beyond, Batman, Superman and Spider-Man ages ago when they were airing, and they weren't too kiddy.

But other than that, all you can find are mindless kids shows or mindless, beer-fueled, frat-boy-targeted shock shows.

Futurama really shouldn't have been canceled for 5 years.

There are very few cartoons that interest me out of anime. This is because anime is so much more than just cartoons, it's depth and quality comparable to a movie.

Yep, I dig DC and Marvel animated stuff(The comics themselves are a whole other story, though)

I'm actually watching 90's X-Men and X-Men Evolution instead of something like Kimi NI Todoke, or Eden of the East.

Which I should be watching because I've had Eden of the East on my list forever

:(

Also, Batman the animated series is pretty awesome, and I can appreciate the classic Looney Toons and Boomerang material.

Of course, I love all kinds of animation. My first animation was not Japanese, in any case, and I will always have an affinity towards American cartoons. Pixar is a great example of cartoons becoming something more than just shallow bonks on the head.

Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Transformers: Beginnings, Cyber Missions, Transformers Animated.

Transformers usually has better cartoons than anime. An exception is Transformers: Galaxy Force, which I think is better than Beast Machines. And The Transformers too, but that one's more American than Japanese anyway. And Cyber Missions is worse than all Transformers anime, except for Transformers: Zone.

I like anime more then non-Japanese cartoons, especially if the cartoon is made in the Netherlands (which is my country) it's for kids and most of the time it has horrible artwork.
American cartoons like the Simpsons and Family guy isn't that bad but I'm more into other genres and I like anime artwork most of the time better. I don't know many American cartoons though

I agree. It's satire even retards can understand.

Don't put too much faith in humanity, I've seen loads of people miss the obvious jokes in their entirety, even those jabs who have the subtlety of a sledgehammer.

I love American comics, like Cyanide and Happiness, and things of that likeness. I don't watch many cartoons, though. Anime is more for different audiences, and American cartoons are generally for children, (with the exception of crude humor). I love Foamy the Squirrel, though.

I loved the old school cartoons like the Jetsons, Scooby Doo, and Tom & Jerry. I was a big fan of the Simpsons but the show isn't as good anymore.

Batman: The Animated Series! It was my favourite as a kid. That, and X-Men. I also love Daria, South Park, The Simpsons, those awesome Looney Tunes cartoons and the Powerpuff Girls, lol. OH I really liked this series of short cartoons called Mamemo or something as well. If you count movies, Up, The Incredibles and Toy Story are amazing.

Of course I have a soft spot for a lot of the stuff from my childhood.

The DCAU, Pixar and South Park are really all I care about right now American-wise, but we shouldn't forget that Japan and America aren't the only countries with good cartoons.
