I hate when i want to watch an anime with genres that i want it to have but to find one ill have to look for a long time and give up halfway. Thats why id like if the anime genres showed on anime in the lists. More importantly that you can choose what genres youre looking for than just seeing what genres it has. This would have me watch anime in my list more faster than looking for one for a long time. Please add this.

You can search by genre. They're also sortable by score and will show the status of the anime (ptw, watching, completed). Multiple genre search is yet to be implemented though.

We don't have that feature that automatically does it. Brb is talking about the regular search function, not your list.

If you want to see genres listed on your list, you have to manually tag them yourself using tags. You can then sort all the shows on your list by your tags by clicking them while viewing your list.

We also need a sort by genre feature here.

that's how tags in the list do work.

You click on any of them (separate them by commas) and the list gets filtered down to entries with that tag.
upper/lower case gets distinguished, so eg. shounen =! Shounen

Maybe you need to un-posh your list to see them/ the tags field?
*darn, using my right hand is off-limits for a while. Typing with my left hand only is ... eww.*

what part confused you, you seperate by commas and make sure they are all the same case "shounen" is not the same as "Shounen"

btw that userscript is outdated so use https://openuserjs.org/scripts/shaggyze/MyAnimeList_Tags_Updater
and we can use genres on our lists without tags now ShaggyZE's Romance, but using both is good.
