Anime/Manga with unusual romance

by "unusual romance" I mean different than normal archetype leads. also just weird set ups and not the norm main love interest

some examples of what I'd consider unusual would be like Midori days (obvious weirdness) unbalancexunbalance (teachers aren't normally the lead) sundome (weird relationship) sankarea (zombie girl) boku girl (gender bender)

more or less just not a normal "all these girls live in my house and bother me and I just want a peaceful life" harem. although harem is definitely a plus. also tsundere lead would be nice since they hardly ever get the spotlight. but yeah, please help. need my romance fix and there's too many of the same set ups out there.

I cannot recommend the manga "Yuzumori-san" enough, so maybe you can try that one!

Aku no Hana is the most uncomfortable "romance" anime I've ever watched.
There are some pretty unique romantic relationships in Baccano!, as well (although they're not heavily focused on).
Maybe also Ergo Proxy or Ojisan to Marshmallow might work.

For a manga, try Himegoto: Juukyuusai no Seifuku. It revolves around a pretty messed up love triangle between a tomboy, a cross-dressing guy, and a self-employed prostitute. Don't read it if you don't like heavy topics.
