Yuhki Shinichi Relieves His Sister of Kannagi Serialization With a Spin-off Manga

According to Comic REX official website, a spin-off manga of Kannagi titled "Kanpachi" was announced to be serialized from the April issue. The author is Yuhki Shinichi, the elder brother of Takenashi Eri.
The serialization of Kannagi in Comic REX magazine has been suspended since December 2008 due to the sick leave of Takenashi.
