A collection of side story, again. Well a breather volume ain't that bad but I'm not fully satisfied with the events that occurred either. And as usual, the heavy dose of Japanese culture is present in Wagahara's novel, although some data are in 2010 terms, it's still nice to see it as a reference for how economy grows as of today. Well I don't really much give care about those in the main volumes but I'm willing to import those facts in extra vol.

I would have liked the side stories better if only it had revolved in a single incident but anyway;

ss 1: The story is post volume 1, how nostalgic . So Chiho refrained from being logical to a more emotional one, how cute. Wait, I see, she had always been that way.

ss 2: The strongest person in the world is said to be a tragic princess if not an innocent child's eye. Lucifer on the receiving end of Alas=Ramus is too much LOL.

ss 3: Somehow, a tsundere would actually be a good match-up with another tsundere as well. I hope their conflicting thoughts would someday be laid bare for us to see how these comedic drama turn to a calm romance.

ss 4: Alsiel's shoujo stats is really out of this world, XD.

ss 5: Kisaki and Himeko's rivalry was interesting but not to a point I could understand Chiho's exaggerating reaction. It seems Yuki's existence was the important thing Maou lacks during his conquest, as all his confidant put their faith in Maou. This event really helps Maou grows academically again.

"What a headache...." - Maou's thoughts during Kisaki's confession(not in the literal sense ofc, haha) on her self-deceive drunk state.. I assume he is considering whether he'll want to stay in Japan or throws it all.

ss 6: Looking at Emi's perspective here is re-freshening indeed, it's like the encounter in the rain feels more vividly rewarding, I guess.

In all of those, the 5th story is the best imo.

No worries there..only the first, 5th and 6th SS got relevance of story and side characters to the main plot and their timeline is pretty recent. You may skip the other three though but then again, they're page count is only about 1/3 of this volume if summed up.
