| Shokugeki no Souma is one of my favorite anime shows right now and I'm looking for any anime recommendations that are similar to it. The plot doesn't have to be about cooking (though I rather not having it about cooking), it just has to be about something similar to Shokugeki no Souma where there is a huge competitive spirit in the school. I'd like whatever the plot is about to be something an individual would do (in Shokugeki no Souma's case, cooking). Things like fighting, individual sports, hobbies, or games are fine. I don't really like sports genres like baseball or basketball so please don't suggest anything like that. I'd like the setting to be in a school setting, but it doesn't have to be. Comedy is fine as long as it isn't the main point of the show. It can be a little bit over the top too as long as it's not too much. I love drama and romance, so if it has those two then that's a plus. Actually, I would highly prefer romance in it. ( I hoped so hard that Erina and Soma would get together ) Please let it be a gorgeous girl, not a surfboard, let her have some game, like Erina or Mito. I'd really like a MC whose similar to Yukihira Soma as a protagonist because not only is Soma ballsy and confident, he has the skills to back it all up too and that just makes him awesome in my opinion. The MC doesn't have to be OP or anything, but as long as he's as cool, skilled, and badass as Soma is, its okay. Some examples I really loved about Shokugeki no Souma is how everyone interacted with eachother. They started out hating him and ended up loving him, for him. I loved the competetive part of this show and the non competetive parts. If you've seen the OVA, Summer Vacation with Erina you would know what I mean. Just a casual laugh with friends, drink a cold one, have fun and to top it off, firework, bbq and the smell of love. I just want to see a similiar show like Shokugeki. A competetive show, yet casual with romance which includes the things I listed. Tried checking the recommendation link out, but it directed to cooking shows only, which wasn't really something I was looking for. I hope you guys kind of know what I mean. Thanks in advance. - School setting ( Not a must ) - Competetive atmosphere - Casual atmosphere , both are the opposite, what I mean is, have some excitement, but chill aswell. For example, bbq scenes in off days, or firework or festivals or what ever. - Romance, with goodlooking girl ( Must ) |

| Haven't seen the Shokugeki but I think Chihayafuru! has things you're looking for, competitive "game" and a bit of romance, great character interactions as well |
