| If it is an aggregate below score of 5 which is rare in MAL, I rather watch other things on my list than to deal with that. If I'm really bored, then I'll consider it. If it's above 5 (which I don't consider most hated), popular enough, and polarizing, I might check it out just to see what's up |

| it might make me more curious. i've discovered a number of disliked anime on mal that i personally love, because i have an appreciation for the experiemental and many mal users seem to only want more of the same. no change in aesthetics, themes, ideas, plots etc. and definitely no fun. not saying it as a means to gloat or anything, it's just something i've noticed. so i'll pay attention when mal hates something. |

| I'm usually more interested in watching highly rated shows to see if they live up to their reputation. Seems like some do and some don't from my experience. |
| I've seen very few widely-hated anime, but out of the ones that I've seen, I've generally found them more watchable than actually popular ones. |
