Arena fighting/gladiator type Anime?

Hey, just started watching anime like a year ago. Looking for arena fighting anime, gladiator type anime with male mc, romance is good.

Some people have recommended dragon ballz and naruto, but im not sure where to start in those series, only watched dragon ballz when i was a kid.

Edit: Not a huge fan of old animes...

Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter kinda fits this, though they're more like tournaments.

The closest thing i can think off would probably be Hajime no Ippo, boxing anime with some nice animation/fights and decent story. If i'm not mistaken i think it's on the 3rd season, with some movies/ova as well. (Thou the movies/ova seems to be recaps of special fights)

I'm tempted to suggest Keijo!!!!!!!! here.

Kill la Kill has some arena fighting arcs in the first half of the story, but again the protagonist is female. She does face male opponents though.
