| Wow so much about the revenge huh, he actually help her on the Snow White play. Damn they really kiss in front of everyone. Nice karaoke after party, although Masamune destroying everyone with her voice. Ohh France Arc season 2? I need to know more about that fatty impostor plan. It's crazy how many of you guys have to wait 6 years for Season 2. I'm glad i didn't have to wait that long. Overall this is a solid 6/10. After impostor Masamune show up it's kinda fell off imo. |

| Ok I kind of get the low score now. Although there is a kiss, which was unexpected (heck, two kisses in one first season of a generic high school semi-harem rom-com? I thought this be the time of anime to not even have the balls to do some hand-holding), and a short slightly-more-sincere-than-usual chat between Makabe and Aki at the end, not much happens for what is a final episode of the season, arguably less than your usually rom-com where nothing significant even happens for the whole season. A good chunk of time was taken up by the least epic karaoke battle ever. Would've like to have that time allocated to something else more substantial than what is essentially cheap filler. You could argue that there is a lot of "filler", stuff that doesn't progress whatever plot this show has, but honestly I don't remember many scenes that do not involve the relationship of Makabe with any said girl. Or maybe I'm tripping. Bottom line is, if you were invested in this story and were looking forward to see it go somewhere and least end the season on a significant note, I understand the low score. This season ends with not much happening between our two main characters. Heck more happens between Makabe and Neko, shit got real there for a second actually. But if you're like me watching this well past its airing date and being aware of its score and reviews and knowing what you're getting into, this wasn't terrible. Just gotta have your expectations down the drain that's all, lol, and it's quite fine actually, imho. Maybe I just don't mind it because unlike those finishing it 6-years-ago-or-so in 2017, I have the knowledge that season 2 is on the way, and in fact, the second episode just aired yesterday, so I can get on with the story immediately. But for those who had to wait, and didn't even know if a season 2 was ever coming, this season felt unfulfilling and like a waste of time no doubt. On it's own, without no high expectations whatsoever, no hoping of actual revenge, no rooting for one particular girl, just going into this because fuck it, season 2 is airing, this wasn't terrible. I enjoyed it. I just hope we leave on a better note with season 2. Or in fact, some say it'll wrap up with season 2. Either way, I just hope it's even just a little fulfilling despite it all, you know? I'll give Masamune-kun's Revenge.... a high five. 5.7/10 |

| It was fine until this last arc, then went down considerably. Funnily enough it's not the NTR (?) scares that were the worst, but Aki's friends that deserved a bitchslap. Anyway, Aki sucks. Neko best waifu. Yoshino potential best girl if developed? |
