| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Very crude anime. Even though it wasn't subbed, you could figure out the origin of Eightman just from knowledge of many superhero origins. It's basically the main character, a detective/private eye, was ran over by the criminals and a scientist transferred the memories of the main character into a cyborg body. He didn't like it at first but learned to live with is his new body. The artwork felt like it was stop frame because it was so crudely done. Perspectives were way off in many of the scenes. You can tell that there wasn't much money or effort put into this this. I wonder if this was just another series that came off the "the Atom" or "Cyborg 009" android craze in the early 60s. |
