A Certain Magical Index (light novel)
| so im currently reading the original stories, right now I think im on chapter 17 or the original series but i have a rough idea of where the story goes. i got into reading the Light novels because i finished the anime and went on youtube and saw videos of where people use photos of the light novels to build a rough idea of the story (an example being something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JP5lnWsGY4&list=PLKHhswtWzYeloscKyzQkYpRAvhzfenqGw ) im really interested in finishing this part of the story, but ive seen similar videos like that except for New Testament, and it honestly just looks ridiculous from what ive seen, ive also seen some things that make it seem like some shit happens with misaka, who's my favorite character apart from accelerator. Ill read NT if its good and honestly adds something of value to the universe and story apart from drama for the sake of making more novels. so for those who like the series, would you recommend NT or would you say i should just stop when i finish the original series? |
| I 've currently read up to the 11th volume of New Testament and let me tell you this that so far it's amazing. the story arcs are pretty amazing. there is little character development for accelerator and misaka.. their also an arc where all three of them(Touma,Misaka,Accelerator) join forces to stop the enemy). One of my personal favourite arc has to be the Othinus arc. which is 3 volumes long(Vol 8 - Vol. 10) A lot of major stuff happens to Touma in this. If you enjoyed the original index series you'll definitely enjoy New Testament. Not to mention the first series ends in a cliffhanger so you'll want to read New Testament. |
| Really? i know a little about the othinus arc and ive heard its great, but everything else just seems over the top and all over the place, but then again I only have the images of what ive seen to go off of so i cant really say. I might give a shot because of what your saying |
