Sacrifice, I don't really mean that he/she has to die.

Maybe it's about romance, where the mc likes a girl but the girl likes another guy. And in the end just to make the girl happy he just leaves the girl alone.

Or maybe it's a death scene, where the girl was originally supposed to die but the MC sacrificed himself for girl he loves.

Don't care about animation. Even it's old I'll watch it.
Just want the plot to match what I just said.

ef a tale of memories -

Kaichou wa maid sama - this happens multiple times

Steins gate - both make sacrifices for each other, first few eps are slow and perhaps hard to follow, but becomes super suspenseful after.

Guilty Crown

I guess *Erased works since he did kinda sacrifice his life for a girl who think he loved later on but I'm no sure.

Zetsuen No Tempest-You justh have to check it but i won't say anything more just because it will ruin the story.

I'm gonna go along and second Guilty Crown. The MC may get on your nerves at times but there is definitely sacrifice.

Gonna second Steins;Gate as well. This one is total emotional sacrifice. Great characters as well.

Zetsuen no Tempest is my favorite anime and it is perfect for this. Not sure how to define that sacrifice but it is real. Plus the art and characters are amazing. One of the few anime I have given a ten. It was perfection.

Btoom is good too, too bad it was short. Hoping for a second season there.
