| ^Yeah that expression was drawn really well, also the two panels right before that, where Ashiya had tears in his eyes and he was suffocating while looking up at Abeno. Gave me chills. I wonder if Abeno had seen a scene similar to that before, perhaps with the previous head of the Mononokean? Still wondering what power Ashiya exactly holds, that the Executive is still pondering whether or not to kill Ashiya or to let Ashiya continue being an employee of the Mononokean. I mean if it's something that Ashiya could potentially learn to control, then it shouldn't be that dangerous. Or I guess they could be thinking what if he becomes a threat if Ashiya decides to make the Underworld his enemy? Which he won't, but my best guess is that it's something that Ashiya can't control. It was sad at the end when Fuzzy was really happy to see Ashiya again, but was worried when Ashiya wasn't upbeat like normal :( But experiencing a close to death situation will obviously make you realize how quickly your life can end. |

| Seriously, though. Every yokai in the underworld says Ashiya is dangerous without elaborating what makes him dangerous. Personally, ignoring how everyone was taken aback when hearing Ashiya's name and his brief... berserk state when meeting Fuzzy in the underworld, I think it's maybe because he's a human who can see yokai, and influencing Abeno's decision as the master of Mononokean because the master has to absolutely put yokai first in any decision, and since Ashiya came Abeno started to consider him (and other humans) when making his decision. nihon_no_tsuki said: Also Abeno laying an hand on an offical to protect Ashiya... is somehow beautiful! | that chapter hit different. omg. the panels of ashiya's face when confronted, basically at death, and abeno's expression when he saw ashiya's face was beautifully drawn. words cannot express it. |
