| A little disappointed Kyoani isn't animating it. I feel like the best Xebec can do is make a "decent" anime. Can't really expect greatness imo. So keeping the hype low for now. |
| When I think Xebec, the first things coming to mind are cheaply made anime from the 2000s like the Love Hina adaptations. Anyway, I would not have been satisfied in any case, since I still haven't swallowed the fact the producers hired Kyoto Animation rather than Gonzo to make "The Second Raid". |

| Oh man, hearing that its not Kyoto who is doing this season kind of dismayed me. Xebec didn't deliver so far, unfortunately low expectations going into this :-( |

| I'm super bummed that Xebec will be animating this season. I took a quick look at all the animes they have done, and they are mediocre at best. Hopefully, they will do a good job on FMP, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. |
| People who are disappointed with Xebec please go and watch Space battleship Yamato 2199. If they bring their A game they are right up there with the top studio's. Judging by the trailer it looks like allot of care and attention has gone into re-creating the original look of the show. Kyoani simply dont make shows like this anymore and I doubt they have the staff that would have the experience with mecha these days. |
| Looked through what Xebec has done. Zoids: Chaotic Century, Yamato 2199, D.I.C.E., Fafner in the Azure. The quality of these shows changes between each, but the one thing they all have in common is that they do mechs and ships with crappy CGI. That alone gives me no reason to look forward to this. |

| Xebec is an old school studio and FMP is an old school anime. Xebec made goddamn MARTIAN SUCCESSOR NADESICO, ffs. They know mecha. They won't screw this up, because they need a winner, and FMP is their ticket. Kind of worrying that it's been delayed, but they just might not want to half-ass it. |
