| know any pleasant anime that can wrap up a good story within 13 episodes? shoujo is cool too. nothing too intense. emotional, sure. you can recommend movies if any. some anime i've already watched: hanasaku iroha (although 26 episodes) kokoro connect (anything similar to this atmosphere would be great) barakamon kyousou giga ~ any suggestions? |

| 13 eps? Can you over indulge a bit? Watch: Gin no Saji, barakamon, Bakuman (pretty big),Kimi to Boku, Shirokuma cafe, Uchuu Kyodai, Aria series. If you're adamant on episode no. maybe Joukamachi no dandelion. |

| Himouto! Umaru-chan Don't let anyone tell you that it is an incoherent mess, or that it has no character development. I now looked it up to see if it was tagged "shoujo" and am a bit surprised to see the manga is actually tagged seinen. That fits it, too, I guess. Comedy, silly, but actually does sth./ gets somewhere. Has heartwarming moments. | Akagami no Shirayuki-hime ("Snow White with the Red Hair") It ran as a "split-cour" show. If you like the first half, there's a second installment as well. Same is true for Shirobako. This starts a bit slowly but it just gets better and better as it progresses. Tsuritama, Gatchaman Crowds, and Gatchaman Crowds Insight are all pretty entertaining stories from director Nakamura Kenji of Mononoke fame. All of those appeared in the noitaminA block where most shows run for 11-13 episodes. |
