Haikyuu and Durarara!!

Durarara!!'s Character Designer (Yasuda Suzuhito) is one of the best anime artist I've ever know. I enjoyed some of his works in anime, like Durarara!! (of course), Devil Survivor 2, and Danmachi.. I haven't seen Haikyuu, but I've just realized something when I see some google pictures and youtube amv of it. It has a similar artstyle with Durarara!! I've check their staff list on MAL to found out if they have a same artist or not, but in the end i couldn't find any same name on their staff list..

So, does anyone know why they have a similar artstyle? Does the Character Designers of both anime have worked together before (which made their design looks similar)? Thanks for the answer, and sorry if my english was bad xD

Same artist = similar or identical style. I mean look at all the shows that came after K-on, the style of the girls are pretty much carried forward to future shows.

I've seen some show that have a similar girls style with K-On, so yeah your opinion also make a sense, not just Haikyuu, maybe some anime will have a similar artsyle with Suzuhito's near future!?

Thanks for the answers, so, it was just a coincidence huh? xD I thought that both of their designer have worked together before, like some people have said on Fairy Tail and One Piece creator.. :/

Eh - but no haikyuu character is as recognizable as someone like Celty. I'd say overall it does a better job with its character design considering it's set in a school so there's only so much you can do, but DRRR has better stand out characters.

if her head was somehow re-attached, she wouldn't be recognized as Celty by every one. Would she?

Set in a school?

WTF, very few moments in Durarara show the characters at school.

The anime is mostly set in the streets of Ikebukuro.
