| I'll order them in the ones you'll most likely love: 1) Nanatsu no Taizai (A 24 ep, really fun and great shonen. Great action, great characters) 2) Death Billiards (It's a 1 ep OVA, but it's super evocative, and something anyone could watch and enjoy. Death Parade is the 13ep show - it's also very good!) 3) Sword of the Stranger (It's a movie, and it's action packed. The animation is superb) 4) Read or Die OVA (The OVA version is only 3 episodes i believe. A lot of fun action and cool characters and abilities in this show) 5) Haikyuu!! (It's a 25ep sports show. The characters and art in this show is SOOO good! It's a bit long, but i think many people will fall in love with the show. Season 2 is coming up soon) 6) Redline (It's a movie. Really fast paced, really action packed. The animation and story is on acid in this movie!) 7) Gunslinger Girls (One of my favs. It's 13eps, it's not too weird, and it has feels. Not too much action, but the character stories is top notch) 8) Welcome to NHK (It's got a lot of relatable themes, and feels) Let me know if you like any of these! |

Hamatora the animation might be good to start off with as well You might also like Katekyo Hitman Reborn! after you've finished Dragon Ball as it is shounen as well :) Though I wouldn't recommend Baccano, atack on Titan, terra formars, tokyo ghoul, deadman in wonderland and other, rather complicated horror anime since I don't think that's a good way to start (unless you really like tht kind of thing) |

| Just throw some Shounen Anime at him. Stuff like Full Metal Alchemist : Brotherhood, SAO, Black Lagoon, Darker than Black, Etc. Shounen is usually the way to go if you wanna get someone into anime. If he gets hooked he'll start searching for anime of other genres on his own. But then again this isn't always the case so you might wanna ask him about what kind of anime he wants to watch. |

| seeing as your're watching a action shounen i will recommend other action-y shounen -y type series so there is no conflict of tone angel beats - lots of action, funny, light-hearted but serious at times, and a intriguing premise black lagoon - not really a shounen but extremely action based, good story telling and world building, have dark tones but not extreme claymore - action based on monster killing, great characters, interesting world (but its 24 episodes so i don't know if you consider that as short) deadman wonderland - action based, great premise, interesting characters to some extent, but (warning as it has one those read the manga type endings) |
