| I did it once to get two Chozo Artifacts in Metroid Prime. Then i use it one to learn how to speedrun Super Metroid, Zero Mission and SOTN. |
| Every Zelda game before Twilight Princess. The games never got localized to my home language and I couldn't read English except basics like Yes, No, Start, Save, etc. I could get very far on ocarina of time without understanding anything but Majora's Mask was too much as a kid. |
| Dragon quest 8 and that was only because I wanted to 100% completion and honestly its nearly impossible without a guide to get everything. Mostly its just tips and tricks for fighting games though. |

| For VNs, all the time. You don't really know the consequences of not having lunch with a classmate until you play a VN. For other games, not so much. I don't mind being stuck for weeks in a particularly complicated section of a game. |
