| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I went into this series only knowing a few things about it: that it has aliens, that a friend who shares similar interests thinks it's good, and that the BGM sucks. And I agree with all 3, lol. No, seriously, that BGM. How bland. Otherwise, the series is really interesting. I really like the character designs and how the students aren't in school uniforms. It makes it feel like it's a children's show versus a late night otaku show. I haven't really found information to confirm this or not. The premise is interesting, but I was thrown off a bit on how calm everyone was to an alien invasion. Then again, the show made it seem like the government had been hinting about there being aliens for years, so the public wasn't really surprised in the end. Anyways, looking forward to finding out more about the mysteries presented. |

| Well, I get the idea that alien invasion (?) stories have been done a thousand times and the audience probably isn't very excited about it but the show itself admitting that it's boring and meandering off into daily-life trivia isn't solving that problem. Why should I care that there are twenty-five more episodes of this? |
| These are some of the most nonchalant, dead-eyed reactions to the appearance of aliens I’ve seen in anime. It doesn’t help that the dub makes all the kids sound 30 years older and stilted as all hell. Also, what’s with all the offhanded shots at the government? |
| great animation for an old anime all the characters look different. This shows me anime theses days are just lazy. |
