Maybe Mushoku Tensei and Overlord. but while they are OP, there's not a lot of chapters in the manga yet. There's also Gate JSDF but the guy is OP with guns and tanks. |

Gonna assume then you have read Berserk, so will leave that out, but if not . . . Start with that. Anyways, a few others: - Banana Fish (Gonna start off with an oddball here, so this one features an OP mc in the fact that he is a genius in just about anything he does (of course this is a manga centered around 70's or 80's gangs in LA, so yes he is a damn good fighter and pretty good with a gun, but more than that he is extremely smart. Now the downsides, A) No romance, B) No mangic, C) The art is old, if that bothers you. But don't let the "Shoujo" tag fool you, this is one of the darker action series I have read) - Drifters (By the same author as Hellsing, however unlike Hellsing I actually like the plot to this series. The idea is that their is a person (or organization, can't tell which), that grabs key figures from history out of their timeline and drops them all into this fantasy styled world. It seems to be almost a free-for-all of famous people from history with the setting being rather uncommon for manga (i.e. their are elves and things like that). The main character is pretty damn strong from what I have read so far. But again their is no romance, and the MC is not "hiding his powers".) - Gangsta. (This series features two leads, a deaf guy who is extremely strong, and a gigolo who is very smart. Together they run sort of like an Odd jobs kind of company, although most of it is mob related, and kind of just goes from there. It isn't the best written series in terms of plot progression, however the fighting is pretty cool and the lead is pretty strong. Their might be romance in this series, I haven't read far enough to tell, but their is no magic, and the mc is not hiding his powers, although you could say that the smart one does play the fool if hiding intelligence counts as hiding op powers.) - Kyou Kara Ore Wa!! (This is a comedy / delinquent series with very good comedy, although it does have series moments too. The main character in this series is extremely strong, although usually assumed to be weak (though he isn't trying to hid being strong or weak), the difference between this series and most "delinquent" series is he fights dirty. He does have the power to beat most, if not all of the people he fights with through "fair" fights, but he often times would rather win through "cheating". The series does feature a little bit of romance as well, but of course no magic) - Majeh (This manwha features an extremely overpowered lead, he has been put under a pretty powerful seal (despite that he is still extremely strong), but when he nears death, the seal weakens and he becomes somewhat similar to a god amongst mortals. This series has quite a bit of comedy, as well as "magic" (not in the traditional sense of the word though) and perhaps romance, not too sure, been awhile since I have read it) - Nanatsu no Taizai (This is a slightly lesser known mainstream battle manga, so don't know if you have read it yet (should really make a list, makes recommending stuff easier too) but anyways it kind of has everything you are looking for. The main character is indeed very strong, however he has the body of a child and very often plays the part of the fool, so is usually underestimated, their is magic, it does have quite a bit of comedy, and it might have some romance in it (I mean it does, but whether it ever develops that is another question)) - Noblesse (This is a korean Web Comic (the art is in color), anyways, the main character is extremely overpowered in this series however very seldom does he do any fighting (he has quite a few people who are extremely strong that work for him), but when he does get pissed off enough to step in, its pretty devastating. Now, he doesn't play the part of the fool, or act weak, but since most people don't know who he is, and he just looks like a highschool student (I guess technically he hides his powers, although not really for any reason other than most people don't know about his race, so it would be bad to go around showing his powers off), he is often times looked over, and assumed to just be some rich kid who hired these extremely strong guards and whatnot (this sometimes can lead to rather rude surprises for those that try and hold him hostage), the comedy in this series is really funny, and their is magic, however there is no romance if I recall correctly) - Rain (This author did another work called "Roland, the forgotten king" or something like that, anyways both are very similar so if you do wind up reading this one, just know that one is worth checking out too. Anyways, this series matches very closely to what you are looking for, A) The MC does sometimes pretend to be weak, he has kind of a whimsical personality and is rather lazy, either way he is extremely strong B) Their is romance, how far it will develop I can't tell but there definitely is some there, C) Their is magic in any sense of the word, and there are magicians as well (this manga has strong Western influences when it comes to medieval fantasies), and D) there of course is comedy, due to the personality of the lead character) - Samurai Deeper Kyo (This one is a bit confusing to tell you how the MC is OP, and you won't see it right away but is the MC OP? Yes. Very. Now it isn't like he deceives people into thinking he is weak, but I can't really go into detail on that one (although it does explain it by volume 2 or 3 if not in the first volume), Anyways, there definitely is romance although it doesn't really start showing until probably 1/3 to 1/2 of the way through the series, their is "magic", and there is a bit of comedy as well. Honestly this series probably fits in very well with what you are looking for, and as far as "OP leads" go, the lead from this series is probably one of the "cooler" ones.) - Shi ga Futari wo Wakatsu Made (The MC in this series is blind, and very strong. He runs into a girl with the ability to predict the future and kind of protects her throughout the series. Now I am not positive but if I Recall correctly, their is romance in it. Their isn't a whole lot of comedy though, and absolutely no magic. Also I am pretty sure the MC doesn't hide his powers.) - Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori (Okay, this one is actually going down a very different route then what you were looking for (In a way), so you can probably ignore this one, but wanted to throw it out there. This series is much more of a Adventure/Romance. The female lead (main character) doesn't start off "strong", although after the initial shock of landing in an unfamiliar world she does show strong "traits", but the OP one instead would be the Male Lead who is extremely wise, both in terms of military and politics. The key difference between this series and a shounen adventure (usually shoujo adventures differ on this key point), is that instead of focusing more on action, and individual battles, this series focuses more on politics, the schemings of different parties, and the overall battles between the countries. The other big thing to mention, is that because this is a shoujo, the romance is much more developed and fit into the story in a much better way (this is of course my opinion, but I'm a guy too, so it isn't like I am fangirling it because of pretty boys or something along those lines). Aside from that, the male lead (honestly I considered him the lead more due to the fact that he was the one moving the plot), does pretend to be dumber than he really is although he is constantly having to plot things out so as not to get killed by his stepmother (the queen who wants her son to be the heir to the throne, so she has to "remove" the other princes who come before him), their is ALOT of romance, there is some magic, and not really any comedy) - Sun-ken Rock (The guy is OP. But at the same time, he doesn't act like he is OP unless it is "battle time", by that I mean unless he is clashing with another gang. I mean despite being the boss of this extremely powerful gang, he lives in a very small apartment and usually is just wearing a hoodie and sweat pants, he usually doesn't act too tough outside of "work". There is romance (actually the reason why the MC moves to korea in the first place) and while it looks hopeless and more of a source of comedy at the beginning, it does develop. There is no magic, but the series does have quite a lot of comedy. One word of warning though, this series is slightly graphic (I mean that sexually, not violently), so if you are uncomfortable with scenes almost graphic enough to be "hentai" I would advise not reading this. It isn't like it is always like that . . . But they do happen so just a heads up) - Tripeace (This guy is extremely OP, although he plays the part of a fool, and I think (might be misremembering) but actually suffers amnesia towards the beginning of the series and "forgets" he is extremely op, but again could be mixing up my titles. Anyways, I am pretty sure their is some romance (not too much though) since it is more of a comedy series. It does have some magic (if I remember correctly), although not too much) - Übel Blatt (The MC in this series is now in the body of a little "elf" (I think?, anyways, is now a small child), and basically hell bent on revenge. Anyways, the plot is kind of cool, and the MC is extremely strong. (Think it has been on hiatus for years now . . . Or just not been scanlated, hence why I recall so little, been a very long time since I read it), but anyways, it does have some comedy although this is mostly used to offset the darker atmosphere of the series. It also does contain romance as well as magic, although similar to Sun-Ken-Rock this series does feature more "graphic" content, not as graphic as Sun-Ken-Rock, but still . . .) - Zetman (Now this series features a very strong male lead, although perhaps not OP since he doesn't know how to "use his powers" at first. Anyways, when he does get it right, he is extremely powerful. Aside from that, this series does indeed feature romance, as well as comedy, although again used more to cheer up darker themes. But there is no magic within this series. I will say though, that the plot is done very well, and is rather fluid if read all at once, although since chapters release extremely slowly (and a lot of the fluidity of the plot relies on you remember events), it might be best to put this off until it is completed) |
