If each cour is 13 episodes long like i have read on the internet.

is 39 episodes really enough to adapt the last 10 volumes of the DRRR!! light novels.
seeing as the anime season one covered 3 volumes of 13 and was 24 episodes long.... was there filler? , or are these 3 cours going to cut stuff out and be rushed.... Is it even confirmed on the length of the cours...... like, i got the 13 episode info on wikipedia.

to me 39 episodes over 1.5 years, to cover 10 volumes of content sounds really fishy.
reeaaaaaly fishy.

50 -70 episodes over 1.5 years to cover 10 volumes of content seems far more likely, i would like to hear from the avid LN fans.

I just do not want to be dissapointed.

From what I know, they showed us characters from 3 volumes in the opening. So 12-13 episodes for 3 volumes.

Don't sweat much, Baccano felt rushed as fuck and it was quite good. This kind of pacing doesn't always fail, look at Highschool DxD, but that's not your cup of tea, I guess.

Not to mention that they made season 1 long, because there wasn't enough material to adapt.

I haven't read the LN but i suspect that we get at least 2 volumes per cour.

Having 3 is hopeful but we will see

i suspect that they won't quite get it all, and instead have to do either another season or movies.

i like dxd for all the wrong reasons.

Its flaw is definitely the pacing.

I love reading LN , but DRRR and Baccano seem tedious to read. one of my Favorite light novel is Kino no Tabi.

by saying tedious to read i don't mean bad, it just translates so well to anime.

Well, that just shows how different some people are. Maybe you didn't like it due to the fact that Kino's Journey is episodic in its narative.

I'm not gonna defend kino no tabi like some loon. Opinions are each his own.
regardless im stoked for the anime, and i hope its is like you said, i don't wanting them cutting stuff out from the Novels.

Kino's journey is one my favorite anime, and a lot of things I like are episodic. I just have problems with the actual novel's writing itself, but it is fine if you like it. I just wanted to give an opposing opinion to that remark.

well, i like people who actually talk about things with a smidgen of class.
MANY people on this site, and anime/manga fans in general, tend to annoy and frustrate me by shoving their opinions in your face and by being overly defensive about the things they enjoy.

Well, I would say that is also strange how you think DRRR and Baccano novels are boring to read when you like Kino no Tabi , which has a more slow pacing and little development. Not saying that I don't like Kino's novels, but I just find them more difficult to get into. And yes, the novels translates well to the anime, but I think that's because the writing it's so vibrating and visual. Sometimes you have to give credit to the original author.

Anyway, I personally think that they plan to adapt all the novels now. Why make a split 3-cour season if they didn't plan to adapt everything? A 2-cour season without a break would make more sense.

lol welp, i had a brainfart.

Tedious was the wrong word to use.... help me out here.

not tedious....... but it was the word off the top of my head, As to not look like a total fool(i'm educated i swear) im gonna try to use a different word.... the problem is i cannot think of one.

the frustration i have with DRRR is the amount of stuff that goes on and the scale of the characters. Nothing against the writer( i think hes awesome) to compare it to KnT which has 1 -3 characters that matter and a simple plot, DRRR has like 10+ characters of equal importance(who all have different goals and paths)

I am not the best at following those kinds of things without a visual representation, perhaps i could give it more fair shot, but with the anime being in production chances are i won't.

Sorry if i offended anyone with my little slip up with my wording.
