Next week is going to be busy.

Next week has a Love Live volume so it's kind of not hard to predict what's going to happen. It'll be the race for 2nd place and beyond that should be the most interesting.

Is Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu (Legend of the Galactic Heroes) getting rereleased next week? And if so, is that in anticipation of the new project? That could be interesting as a gauge of how much interest there still is in the franchise.

People are actually buying Psycho-Pass 2!? That's a surprise! I bet it's only to complete their collection since they've already bought the first season.

Hell Yes for Yuuki Yuuna! This show needs more love! I hope more people on MAL gives it a watch after seeing this. It's so underrated, it's hurts..

Lol at Rail Wars! XD

Also, Mushishi should rank higher next week. Zoku Shou second season was marvelous, just like all the other seasons.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this. If ever there was a series I think should just be allowed to stand on it's own and doesn't need a remake it was that. Given the caliber of people involved in the original, the kind of era it came out in and what it's focus was I just don't see any way it could possibly be as good. I mean they gave it 150+ episodes once you add up all the prequel OVAs and it had an OVA release where they'd often skip the openings and endings when the episodes needed time. What more could you possibly ask for I wonder.

Oh one observation I forgot to make is that Jojo seems to have lost it's Fujoshi support since the first season.

Just started watching Yuuki Yuna. Can't believe it is created by the same person that did Akame ga Kill.

Polnareff x Avdol not working?

Terra Formars volume 1 not even in ranking? I guess season 2 won't happen then. Good thing I already started reading the manga.

But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

I found a good method earlier today on 2ch that made it possible to either ballpark to a few copies or know exactly how much a DVD or BD has sold if it doesn't make it to the preliminary Tuesday or full Thursday list.

Yuuki Yuuna Vol.1 DVD was found to have sold 539 DVDs exactly, which brings it to 5,320 copies in Week 1 with the BDs. But we know it has stock issues, so that's not the end of it...

For TERRAFORMERS, it was found to have sold somewhere between 516 and 518 DVDs (we will give it 516 for no disputes), while the BD has sold between 1,080 to 1,082, but we will know the exact BD sales on Thursday anyway. So TERRAFORMERS Vol.1 has sold somewhere between 1596 and 1598 copies.

AKB0048 next stage Vol.3 is ranked 11082 (http://www.oricon.co.jp/prof/34386/rank/dvd/p/1109/), and sold 516 DVDs. TERRAFORMARS Vol.1 is ranked 11071 (http://www.oricon.co.jp/prof/34386/rank/dvd/p/1108/). Z/X IGNITION Vol.2 ranked 11067 (http://www.oricon.co.jp/prof/34386/rank/dvd/p/1107/), and sold 518 DVDs. This is the basic method to determine sales, but is very tedious. We have no way of knowing if releases have joint ranks on this list, so that is why it is convention to give a release the lower bound of sales.

Yeah, this might seem surprising to you, but otaku in japan dont refuse to watch shit just because Urobuchi wasnt involved.

I still haven't seen Ep11 but...yeah, this last episode is probably either a huge boost for them or a gigantic bust if they screw it up

2014 Yearly Oricon BD/DVD Rankings are now out: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1330515. A more extended list is expected during mid to late January (last year it was a Top 200 BD and Top 500 DVD list).

This brings Love Live! 2nd Season average to 60,483, with Vol.7 coming out next week. Vol.7 is expected to sell more than Vol.2, based on its position in the 2014 Yearly Amazon BD/DVD Ranking, so 60k average is safe anyway. 2 weeks missing from Vol.1~5 as the data only covers up to Dec 7th this year.

○ラブライブ! 2nd Season 【全7巻】 平均: 60,483
巻数 初動 2週計 累計 発売日
01巻 82,119 97,191 115,870 14.06.20 ※合計 116,266枚、通常版 *,396枚 [25/27 weeks]

03巻 41,482 45,578 *50,131 14.08.27 [15/17 weeks]
