| Mawaru Penguindrum (Psychological, supernatural): Is seriously one of the most complex and difficult to decipher anime in existence. The plot of the story is heavily ingrained in metaphysicality, and is one of the most convoluted and thorough I've seen. Legitimately ever character besides the one girl that pops up in episode 3 has secrets to hide that directly influences the story. However, takes a lot of extra thinking to make sense of. |

| Ryugajou Nanana Maizoukin - quite intelligent though it is too short (only 11 episodes) so there are many missing links, but it is good intelligent anime Detective Conan - I think everyone knows about it and it is growing stronger and stronger Magic Kaito 1412 - dont sure because it's only starting but the it has the same creator as Detective Conan so I expect it would be more analytical type. Spice & Wolf - definitely intelligent, though the setting is classic. |
