| So, I just watched episode 1 and was instantly sold. I watched it subbed as usual; the only anime I have watched dubbed are Cowboy Bebop and Ergo Proxy, even Black Lagoon I watched subbed. With Cowboy Bebop and Ergo Proxy I found the Japanese version just too generic. Likewise I found Black Lagoon's English version too generic even though watching the dub would seem to make sense. Jormungand seems to fall a bit in between though. I feel I'm missing a lot of the characters and their accents in the sub, similar to how you'd miss a lot of Iggy's gayness in Ergo Proxy or Fay and Spike's badassery in Cowboy Bebop. However Jonah's English voice is just so terribly cast, and with him being THE main character that's a kinda big deal. I was wondering, what did most of you ended up watching Jormungand in: sub or dub? |

| I have actually watched this dubbed and don't regret it. In this case, the English cast is just as good as the Japanese, but the accents come out so much better. Also the original Japanese version has a few clear misses and missed opportunities. For example, Koko's English voice is much more fitting, and when a third language is spoken, the Japanese cast genuinely screws it up. |
