You want Princess Tutu to cure you of this unhealthy morbid fascination.

Seen it already, and shows like Higurashi, and SZS are downright disturbing in almost every aspect.

Shigurui is one of the most disturbing animes I've seen.
The Sky Crawlers might also fit. Tekkon Kinkreet as well.
Perhaps to a much lesser extent, Haibane Renmei could also fit.

Seconding Texhnolyze, The Sky Crawlers and Berserk.

Recommending:
Akira
Angel's Egg (Dark and creepy, not morbid though)
Ghost Hunt (Not really much, but one of the arcs was pretty intense and creepy)
Inaka Isha (This is one weird ride)
Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade (dark and psychological, not too wild though)
Memories: Magnetic Rose (Trapped-in-space horror. Rather awesome)
Mind Game (More absurd and wacky than morbid, but worth a look nevertheless)
Neo Tokyo: Labyrinth (Those...things are creepy shit. Also try the other two parts of the compilation)
Perfect Blue (Psychological thriller/horror)
Paprika (Lots of mindscrew)
Revolutionary Girl Utena (Not morbid and not very creepy, but has a lot of mindrape)
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

For manga:
Berserk (Lots of seriously sick stuff here, way better/worse than the anime)
Blade of the Immortal
BLAME! (And all of Nihei's stuff)
Bradherley's Coach (Really twisted and tragic)
Franken Fran (Black humour with lots and lots of gore and morbidity)
Highschool of the Dead (Zombies/gore. And tits. Lots of them)
Ichi The Killer (Lots of rather disturbing characters and events)
Jisatsu Circle
Korokoro Soushi (This one goes pretty far into gore territory)
Love Story, Killed
School Ningyo
Shadow Star (Really twisted at times. Don't be fooled by the cutesy exterior at the start)
The Enigma of Amigara Fault (Awesome)
The Laughing Vampire (If you can handle the art)
Uncivilized Planet

The title of this thread lacks the word "disturbing".

Baffling.
Well, I suppose the obese strippers were rather morbid...

Dark:
Comedy - it's very dark, but contrasted with innocent narration from a young woman. short film like cat soup, only 10 minutes or so.

Welcome to the NHK - it starts as a dark comedy, but then moves into more of a psychological drama, but not in the typical, EVA, Higurashi sense. It's clearly about psychological disease, but not the fanciful schizophrenia. More along the lines of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem.

Boogiepop Phantom - a mystery/psychological thriller

Perfect Blue - This is a suspense movie that's more thrilling than morbid, but violent and quite disturbing at the end. Stalkers...eww

It seems you haven't seen Monster, it's a great show with the atmosphere you're looking for, even though it's a bit lengthy (74 episodes) it's still sounds like something you should check out. It's ranked 15th if that means anything.

If it's okay for the show to appear cutesy at first, Shadow Star Narutaru, Alien Nine, and Uta~Kata are all extremely dark.

Totally seconded! Bonus points if you like horror, psychological rape and psychopaths. ^^;

Also..... Fullmetal Alchemist manga. Death Note, but you've probably watched that already. >.> Um.... Soul Eater? Nah, that's merely weird.

Surprising that you've neither seen it and that no one has suggested it yet.

Now and Then, Here and There.

Talk about dark and morbid.

I'll also second Jin-Roh. The ending is one of my favorites.

^ Yes, both of these definitely fit the description.
