XV battle - Kuina VS Kureha Doctor  Kuina (くいな) was the late childhood friend of Roronoa Zoro. She was the daughter of Koshiro, the sword master of the dojo where Zoro was trained. She is the reason why Zoro developed the Santōryū technique. One of his swords, the Wadō Ichimonji, belonged to Kuina. He treasured this sword more than any other sword. She was always living with the knowledge that since she was a woman, it would only get harder as she gets older for to compete with men. This would force her to give up the swordsman's life. Eventually, Zoro made her believe that it's willpower, not strength, that makes a swordsman. more info on wiki Dr. Kureha (ドクター･くれは, Dokutā Kureha) is a doctor on Drum Island She is Chopper's mentor. Dr. Kureha had an odd relationship with Dr. Hiruluk, seeming to enjoy the camaraderie of a fellow "doctor", but dismissing most of his ideas as those of a quack. When she realizes that Hiruluk is dying, she agrees (reluctantly) to his last requests: to make his life's work come to fruition and to train Tony Tony Chopper in medicine. During the time since Hiruluk's death, she trains Chopper in medicine, claiming she taught Chopper "everything she knew", and was fairly impressed by the young reindeer's skill. She only once complimented Choppers skill, after Chopper cured her of a life threatening illness without any of Kureha's medical advice. Knowing that Chopper would do well to gain real-world experience, Kureha encouraged Chopper (by forbidding him from it) to leave the island with the Straw Hat Pirates. Standing on the ramparts of Drum Castle, she gave her wayward student a tearful send-off of gigantic proportions, setting off the "cure" that Dr. Hiruluk envisioned for the island: pink sakura snowflakes falling from the sky to warm the island's frosted heart. | I voted for Kuina because she had the same dream with Zoro but she lost the opportunity to prove herself because of her death :/ |

| well, i vote for Kuina... i wouldnt say i like her or anything... i kinda envy her XD she has such a big influence on Zoro... i know it sounds weard XD lol |

| Definitely going with Kuina. Was a pretty interesting character for the bit of time we got to see her. Besides the effect she had on Zoro and the meaning it gave Zoro's most important sword just made her a character I liked. Since she can't keep the promise Zoro just has to beat everyone and fulfill it. |
| I think I have to vote for what seems to be the loosing side this time; Dr. Kureha. Sure, I liked Kuina, but she never caught my attention since she has so short lime-light time. I know she is an important person for Zoro, but she is not important for me. Kureha had a character, even if if wasn't the nicest one and she helped the Mugiwara crew in her way, and I think she still is involved with Roger and the will of D. Therefore, she gets my vote this week. I'm sorry, Kuina. |
