Well, that was entertaining.
Not the movie, but watching it with a friend who wholly agreed with me to play Mambo No. 5 and Livin' La Vida Loca during the terrible dance sequences. Also, we called the two male leads their Korean equivalent names because we couldn't be bothered to learn their Japanese names for this crap.

Even with that, though, I give this a 4/10. People don't BEND like that.

Happy it was only 30 minutes. Don't think I could've taken anymore of this travesty. So appy they ignored this when making the live actions. No one needs an alternate reality HYD!

I'll admit it was fun hearing "Stepping Out' again.

What a strange retelling. Pretty obvious the crew really, really wanted to be in musical theater

Did I misunderstand something or did Rui steal a pair of Tsukushi's underwear? Wtf? And she fkn loved it

What were they all doing in New York? What is the Freedom Dance School? Where are all their parents? And Tsukushi is literally living in a van down by the river lol

Weirdly, the biggest disappointment here for me were the backgrounds. The fairy tale quality of the washed out watercolors and romanesque architecture of the school buildings were a real highlight of the series for me, and the movie replaced all of that with weathered concrete and fire escapes

Oh well, none of it all really matters I guess. Like the other guy said, happy it was only 30 minutes

@case649 I took it as she was doing laundry for everybody, so he just took whatever was his.
