The Digimon card would have been cool if I had ever learned to play it properly.

Pokemon, was fun, I guess, though I always preferred the actual game to the cads.

Speaking of Yugioh, how can anyone like stall decks being played against them? It's just endless frustration. ENDLESS. And there's like 10 different cards that can somehow stall you unless you get lucky and draw that heavy storm... only to be countered. NGGGGGGNNGNGNG. I mean, I rather lose in 5 turns than lose in 50 turns.

Yu-Gi-Oh is the best, in my opinion. Unlike other card games, which are typically around 70% luck and 30% skills, Yu-Gi-Oh card game is 50% luck and 50% skills. There are so many strategies that you can apply to your duels, not to mention that each duel usually last at least 15 minutes (with the exception of the noobs' duels, which sometimes only last a few turns <_<).

But I don't really like the recent addition of Synchro Monsters though. They mess up the game -_- because they are overly powerful!

I dunno man. I was going to say Yugioh relies on more luck, but they're all card games. And all card games share the common similarity that it's (heavily) luck-based. I wouldn't say Yugioh needs a lot of skill other than the fact one know how to build a deck, but that is required for almost every other card game. And Goyo Warrior, lolimbalancedlol.

Speaking of card games that got messed up after a while, I'd say Pokemon would have to be in that list due to the fact that back in the day the cap for the maximum HP would always be 120 whereas somewhere down the road they decided "Oh hey....we need to make the cap larger, give some Pokes with Attacks that deal 80HP+ for only one or two energy cards and/or have Pokes have three attacks..I wish I never would of found out about that when I was randomly searching thing on ze interwebz and found that out. Makes me glad that I quit playing the card game somewhere down the road.

Ouwh i love Digimon Card Battle Game from ps1, the 7s card was awesome

I don't remember much from the PS1 game anymore ;0; I think my friend that I let borrow in the long long long ago still has it. I have to admit from what I remember it was a fun PS1 game, although I do wish that I would know of learned how to play it as I did with Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. I wonder where my old Phantomon card is at right now, it should be somewhere around here unless I put it in a box again o 3o

What is the basic style? Is it the Chinese style (well, each part of China has some different variations of the rules)? Or the rules used in the World Championship? The "riichi" style is the Japanese one used for gambling. It's used in online games like Tenhou (which I still need to make a proper account to play online).

Well, I dunno much about the differences, but the main ones I can recall is the use of Doras, differences in the point system, and other stuff like the game starts on the East round.

You can check it in this flashgame:

Yeah, it's very hard to get hold of every small rules, but the basics are not that hard. The initial problem would be memorizing what are the winning hands, the concept of Pon, Chii, and Kan, the Furiten rule, yeah, it's pretty complex, but highly addicting.

If you have time at hand and interest, you can check the rules here:
