Every great Japanese movie has to be remade by hollywood...I like the originals way better.!!! And I think they've done a good job with the DN-movies (although they don't get the full story of the manga and changed a few things). Anybody seen the Dragonball movie e.g.? | Might get flamed for saying this.... I'm not a fan of Zac Efron, I've never seen HSM. But I've seen some of his other films, and he's not bad. Given the right director to guide him through it, I think he would do a decent job. Yes, Yagami Light is an extremely complex character, but that's mostly going on in his mind. If he could get down those evil smirks and temper tantrums, he's good to go because frankly he can glide through the "real-life nice Light" parts. It's what he does. My real problem with Zac Efron being involved in this movie is the fact that he'll turn the franchise into another "squee" fangirlgasm attraction. It's out of his hands, it's bound to happen. Sorry, Zac, but please, step away from the Death Note remake. Don't make me become the person that says "I used to like Death Note before everyone else did!" And I really really hope Disney doesn't get their hands on this. Else we can say bye bye to Ryuk and the concept of the manga/anime altogether. |

Blood+ (Was Okay / Special Effects. Gay) Dragon Ball Evolution (Okay / Not enough Action & Story Sucks) ...And other One's But Prince of Persia : Sands of Time (A Game) Was really well Made ^^ I Loved the Story |

In "17 Again" he was Pretty Good But to Play "Light Yagami" ... I Really doubt it.. But anyways. Try to Keep an Open Mind.. Or Something? Just Try to Investigate on how he's Gonna act on the New Movie he's Gonna do soon & Then You'll Maybe have a Better View. Of Knowing for Sure The Only thing that Sucks is.. Americans Suck at doing Anime Movies So I doubt it will be Good. But its Still fun to see it.. Just for the Heck of it |

| NO WAY ZAC EFRON WILL PLAY LIGHT YAGAMI was my first thought on this. my second thought was: hold on, actually this guy really resembles light quite a bit. and he was quite satisfactory in 17 again. also if such a famous dude plays in death note a lot of people will watch it and perhaps even read the manga/ watch the anime... which could lead to more fans worldwode :D BUT my third thought was: i dont want death note to become famous!!! i dont want it on hollywood i want it all to myself and my fellow otakus >.< so all in all i'm 100% confused and have no clue what to think about this o.o |

| I don't dislike Zac Efron but he's def NOT someone who could play Light well. I will never fogive hollywood is they screw up Death Note, it's a great one of a kind anime and it should nót be hollywooded >.< |
