| It doesn't matter that much, really. Decent viruses have a proper rootkit exploit, meaning you can't even see them in taskmanager. Also, there's tons of viruses that have random names. |

The best security solution is currently either ESET Smart Security (lightweight) or Kaspersky (extra secure), and both can be ''free''. AVG is pretty awful in my opinion. They released an update twice where user32.dll was deleted from the user's computer, causing them unable to boot again. |
| I'd give Malwarebytes a shot. It's a pretty comprehensive little program and catches nearly everything. It is not a typical anti-virus, however. It is designed to be used when you think you're already infected and you want to identify and get rid of the threats. It does not include live scanning. |
