| The story is kind of interesting, even if it moves very fast right from the start. But I guess that's what happens with oneshots? Mochizuki's art, while awesome anyway, has gotten so much better since these early stages. Agreed about Ruskin/Oscar and Claudia/Alice. |D The way Benz made Claudia jump from behind is kinda similar to how Break would surprise Alice (but that comparison ends there). Also, when that Xeno guy said "you are uncute as usual", it totally reminded me of Break and how he always tells Oz that. I think Zion also bears some resemblance to Vincent when he was younger. At least, his hair does. I don't think Xeno seems similar to Jack... especially with how the chapter ended. Although, there's really no need to compare every character in here to PH. But it is fun to, ahah. C: |

| I just read the manga today and well, at first, by just reading the first chapter, I also thought that the characters were really like the PH-characters. It's obviously reversed, because this was the first manga of Mochizuki Jun. I really like Xeno and Claudia. Let me tell you this for the whole manga: nothing seems what it is... |

I myself don't think the characters resemble something from the PH characters at ALL. Expect for a few little traits maybe, but that's all. You can say something like that too about other mangaka's work and even writers/comic drawers. It's called a "style" - every storyteller has their own style of characters, just like an art style. Same too for storytelling itself and all other features that comes along with writing a story. I know this myself because I sometimes write stories as well and got "developed" an own "style" as well over the few past years I'm doing it. It's no suprise Crimson Shell has the same "style" as Pandora Hearts as it's written by the same mangaka. Get what I'm trying to say? Good, then don't bother anymore with comparing PH characters to CS characters, thank you very much. :) |
| I see that I am not the only one that feel the character in this manga represents the ones on Pandora Hearts, in term of looks and some character traits. Claudia definitely look and act somewhat like Alice and same goes for Zion matching up with Oz. To tell the truth, I was not expecting something like this, so I was surprised. |
