Great episode! Certainly makes up for some of the other ones this season.

Also, full of great material for anime motivational posters.

Okay, so from what I understand:

V.V. originally made a pact with Charles a long long long time ago. Now Charles has killed V.V. to obtain immortality.

Lelouch sees C.C.'s memories. It seems that the "AI C.C." doesn't recognize Lelouch, since he is still in the present, and not part of C.C.'s past yet.

Now here comes the confusing part for me.
1) I thought only the person who makes the pact can kill the immortal other. How would Charles be able to kill C.C.?
2) When Lelouch destroys the Sword of Akasha, there was that gray flash of images. Then C.C. loses her memories afterwards. What's up with that?

Well to answer your first question Charles completed his pact with V.V. and now possesses the ultimate level of the Geass, so he can basically kill anyone, that's why he doesn't die.
For your second, I don't think those flashes have anything to do with her losing her memory. I'm thinking that Charles is responsible for that. From what we know as of now, C.C. no longer has her immortality, so Charles most likely got rid of that ( So C.C. will eventually die) we also know that Charles has the ability to rewrite memories, so that's probably what he did. Now that C.C. no longer has her abilities, she is now susceptible to Lelouch's Geass, and most likely gain her memories back. (Will they do it soon? That I doubt...)

---i hope Nina blows herself up with her nukes that would be funny
---cc better get her memories back, she was such a cool character but i'm afraid she'll just start getting annoying and lulu will be forced to 'discard' her
---viletta was already dodging those blades so ogi threw himself infront of them for nothing...he better survive
---why the hell has kallen been wearing that dress?? it's not like nunully can see her...
---poor little v.v he looked so pathetic just sitting there! ... wth was his purpose he died so easily, i'll take his code anyday
---the main question is...does lulu still have his geass? they better tell us nxt epi

Totally agree, Nina needs to be dealt with. Also agree with the cc thing, i wouldn't put it past lulu to get rid of her, and i really hope that doesn't happen. since there is still a good ten episodes left i'm sure somehow they will get back to her.

Cant wait for next weeks, a lot of shit is probably going to go down considering everything that happened this week.

So far, naked C.C (and moe C.C) + bossy Nunnaly = win.

Edit: Forgot to add to clueless fans - Nina's surname is Einstein. That's why she (as a high school girl) was able to make a f***ing nuke that can kill the whole world.

I think the reason C.C lost her memories is a mixture between her pushing away from the Emperor and Lulu blowing up the Gods chamber with is basically where you make the switch with the immortal person and kill them, at least I think. Since Lulu destroyed the place, C.C's transfer with the Emperor wasn't complete causing her to lose her geass memory's. This is all a theory though so I could be wrong.

As Lulu already stated, the Emperor is trapped in that room for now thanks to him blowing up the place. So I think the story will start to focus more on Nina and Lulu's other brother now, at least until the King manages to get out.

@ The Villetta and Ougi question someone asked. I think Villetta was just looking for answers and clarification from Ougi about why he helped and cared for her in the past. I don't think she really intended on killing him since it's pretty clear she has feelings for him. Lulu's stupid maid servant lady was sent there thanks to Diethard to make sure no one was backstabbing Lulu. She clearly misunderstood what was going on and acted the way she did because she saw a gun pointing at one of Lulu's top members. I have a bad feeling it's Ougi's turn to lose his memory XD.

PS. was that thing Nina made a Positron bomb? It seemed like it since making a nuke would be a bit old technology considering most of Lulu's mecha have miniature nuclear powered weapons already with are more advanced then a bomb. Nina also was working on antimatter weaponry diagrams in school I think. If this is the case, everyones in a world of pain once she starts dropping shit like that around or developing weaponry for mecha.

didnt read the whole thread, but it seems many ppl are woundering why VV died. at first VV had the power to heal all wounds (never die) but then he got beat up by lulu and viletta and it took some time to heal all his wounds. Charles took VV's power before he had completely healed and therefore he died of the injuries he had from before, i think ;)..
i also think that Lulu "granted" CC's wish and then she "died" as in returning to the state she was in before getting the Geass and that would mean lulu now has the same power as the emperor. because her real wish was to be truly loved, as you can see in the flashback, and it seems lulu really loved her. as for CC regaining her memories, hmm.. no speculations yet

This is also how I interpreted what went down, really enjoyed this episode, as I've been waiting for this part of the back story for basically the entire series, the last couple episodes have been great imo, as I didn't really like how things were going at the start of the season. I'm gonna give it a re-watch right now to clear my head a little.

Ooh, nice way of thinking about it. That makes sense. Except this means C.C. is a grown woman with the mentality of a 7 year old. D:

if you think about it though, she most likely attained her geass ability at around that age... so if she loses her powers, she probably loses the memories she also had when she had her powers... meaning all she remembers is being in rags and wanting to live... and judging by her statements... i take it she was a slave...

Very awesome episode. I think I'm also in agreement with some of those that saw CC losing her memories = her potential "death", but I'm not sure.

Also not sure what to think of this move ... I liked CC a lot in the first season, but she never did much in this season until this very episode, which was exciting, then this happens. Sure her new character seems cute ... but eh, weird. It'll be interesting to watch, looks like Lelouch is going to have to really take care of her, lol.

Also just bringing this back up because I think it was an excellent question:

Well, not a bad episode. So much happened that I think I need to let it sink in a bit more. I question the pacing because a lot happened but this is CG. there are just some episodes that are like this one. It really does feel like things are getting a bit too science-fiction for the nature of this series and my suspension of disbelief has been shaken even more... but next episode seems to have a much more "realistic" tone.

Suzaku... well. better very late than never. He's pretty much been Zero 2.0 since the start of this season and still, it takes him 15 episodes to realize the fault of his ways. I hope he returns back to more of his old self as I think it's better for this series that he doesn't turn into a one-dimensional villain character and isn't 100% dislikable.

I don't know what's going to happen to Lelouch or his geass. It seems as though Lelouch might've lost his geass. I don't know if I should be interested or disgusted. If he really did lose his geass part of it is really does seem to be a blatant cover-up to avoid possible loopholes created by the pairing of Orange and Lelouch (a.k.a. infinite geass use). Part of me sees potential in this move and part of me is really second guessing it all. What's Zero without his Geass?

It looks like the war is going to push into full power and that things are going to slide to a close. I thought we might get a third season but it looks like it has a good chance of ending in 10 more episodes... given how much it feels like their trying to rush things and cram these episodes full of content (or how they basically set up the end of the Ashford Academy "filler" episodes), it feels like they have some plan for things.

And C.C... C.C... T_T add another dumb as a brick girl to Lelouch's entourage. Her superiority and swagger was really a good departure from all the bimbos in this series.

It's an interesting development, It does seem as if more has happened to C.C than just lost her memory, but I can't see that having any effect on Lulu. So for Lulu's powers to have changed something damn interesting must have happened when we weren't looking.
If C.C's memories were altered by Charles then that's something Orange could fix quite easily, so I don't think it will be that simple. It also occurs to me that Lulu can order people in a way to change their memories so Charles's power must be a little better than that.
To the comments about Lulu satisfying C.C's wish, that shouldn't have had such a big effect on her, it defiantly seems as if its the result of interrupting the process half way through. The wider effect of that might be interesting.

loved the episode, not too much action, but everything else was awesome
lulu gained points for being smart and using mirrors... cheap, but really useful.
lol @ emperor shooting himself, i thought it was too easy for lulu... then again, he should have been geass-less by then, so lulu's geass shouldn't have worked... lol, lulu got teas'd
kallen SLAPPED sufagu... HELL YES
sufagu needs to die for hitting kallen.
no, i don't like sufagu a bit more than before, even if he didn't use the refrain, he is still a jackass in my opinion
V.V died... yes!?
Emperor come back!
emperor got a geass hand, xD
THE MASKS, I KNEW WHAT THEY WERE, my prediction was right, not completely, but i knew they were masks xD.... i guess they do hide all of the world's lies...
Villeta and Ougi reunion just to get spoiled by kunoichi sayoko, and ougi... sad... but well, it was such a nice development moment...
why did charles want to grant C.C's wish? to become more powerful? or wut? lol, it makes almost no sense
lulu's sad for C.C's wish, awww, lulu likes C.C
nina's nuke works, thats bad
Nunally is about to realize, oh shitz
C.C's younger self was so cute...
a geass to be loved... so... that means that the geass comes from the user's desire?
S1 ED pictuer at the end.... they finally explained it, about effin time
uhh... poor lulu and shi tsu, without c.c's memories, she's no longer C.C... maybe we will even get her real name... FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE TWO SEASONS
also... i want kallen to go back to lulu.... :(

Well some of you are saying that having your code taken basically wipes all your memories that were created when you were a geass contracter. i don't think that is true because if that were true then V.V. would not be able to remember C.C. let alone the time he met Charles when they made the Pact.

Yea i also noticed that she was chained up that doesn't seem like a good sign.
Then we also meet another knight of rounds but for some reason he's meeting wit Kallen, which also cannot be a good sign.
Then we have Lelouch talking to press about his UN plan or sumthin which seems like a Good sign.

Up until tis day, I thought that Slayers Revolution would be the best show this year(and the next). Now, I'm not so sure!

I don't know what's more awsome, the prism bomb, that Lelouch won and didn't(LOL at his face, that's one way cope with victory) or the premise that Sunrise will wrap this up in Hirosima. Let's not forget invincible Charles!

What the fuck was up with naked C.C.? Must be a les. You don't get naked in church just like that sporting an attitude like that...

I was really looking forward to the back story of C.C., but this episode was kind of confusing. I understood everything with how she got her powers and how what she wanted was to die and then Lelouch would be immortal but the whole way it was carried out was jacked. Now it seems that the emperor is immortal and V.V. is going to die, I actually thought that Lelouch managed to pull it off for a second. Also, I have a new hatred for Suzaku, even though he was able to stop himself from using the refrain even having the though of doing it is bad enough.
