| this was fucking amazing, and to think i was hyped for the 00 movie this fall, forget it, i'm hyped for episode 2 of this. amazing ms fights, amazing music. and top it off with an already fleshed out world with references to char, amuro, the past conflicts and you get this. and the way this captures the feeling of war is so fantastically done, with this level of animation and music, it conveys the feeling much better than anything past uc gundams have done. |
| Awesome UC shit is awesome. Good graphics, good music. Well, I wouldn't be expecting anything less considering it's an OVA. Also, no one's gonna commend that Starke Jegan at the beginning for holding it's ground against the Kshatriya? Or that epic Geara Zulu pilot who was a loyal Neo-Zeonist to the end? Even though I'm more of a Zeon fan, I can't help but like the ReZel, since Zeta was one of my favorite Gundam, after all. And the Zaku. No one commented about the Zaku. D: |

| I think the Federation is getting kinda lazy with it's Mobile Suit Models it's basicly turned every variant model it's had into a GM Hey remember the Gun Cannon? It's a GM now! Hey remember the Gun Tank? It's a GM now! Hey remember the RGZ? It's a GM now! It's funny the Federation only offers mobile suits in 2 flavors now. Fly casket: GM OP: Gundam But whats funny is why is the federation always working on a new Gundam every time some thing happens? |

| This episode was amazing. Can't wait for the rest, I love the revival of the 0079 artstyle (With its fair share of changes to fit the newer styles aka BETTER COLORS). Music was unbelievable, want soundtrack. |

| Just incredible. The score is fantastic. The battles are visually breathtaking. I love how they pay so much attention and detail to the cockpit mechanics and the pilot's actions. The only downsides are the characters. I can't connect w/ Banagher, but I'm sure his development won't be bad. |

| I think character interactions was kinda lame, specially on Banaghers side. Just met a pretty girl and suddenly he want to do what ever it takes for her sake? Well, I guess there was not enough time to squize enough character development for those scenes to make perfect sense. |

That sort of character for Gundam series was all the rage back then. |

Newtypes are kinda like puppy dogs they get attached to some thing and just lose all reason. pretty much every Newtype in the history of UC gundam mainly the males get all protective over some random girl. and the Female NewTypes become obsessed and become lap doggish to some male character. They are Empaths so when every they find some one that remotely resonates with them, it becomes like an addiction to them. They get withdrawal if they aren't around them. |

Atleast this one was alittle different this time, it was actually made for him, he didn't kinda steal it. |

| epic animation i just watched the movies of gundam and f91 (and played robot taisen 3 but the history is in jap :S only the commands are in eng) but i am guessing many stuff just by having played gundam battle assault 2 on the ps1 since everyone call the girl hime-sama, shes a princess and the fourth tragedy i tought it was something that was goint to happen to her btw Kshatriya ms is an upgraded quin manta?(ok i just readed that its piloted by puru two and that marida is another puru) what are those normal ms? i mean the greens(not the zaku lol) the blues look to be a mass ver of RGZ and the ones with tracks are guntanks? besides all my mecha questions i liked the ep, has anyone noticed it being similiar in just a few things to the 1st ep of seed? space colony attacked and the 1st activation of the gundam is it rising from flames xD those newtypes have some badass moves xD and i agree they act REALLY strange(f91 made me realize this) |

The Green Mechs are RGM-89 Jeagan, they are Feddy grunt mechs The Blue ones are RGZ-95 ReZEL they are specialized RGZ's and the Tanks are Lotos they are the predecessor to the Guntank Yes he's a NewType only new types can use the PsycoFrame, the only other gundam that used the Psycoframe is Amuro's Nu Gundam, but it was in beta then. But the Unicorn uses a new system as well call the NT-D (Newtype Drive) which that was the transformation. The pink armor underneath the white armor is the Psycoframe. |

| Actually, Mahq says that the Loto was the predecessor for the F-50D Guntank R-44. Judging by the time period as well, it seems more likely that the Loto is the successor to the original (and probably the mass produced version) of the Guntank, but outfitted and painted for Lodo Bell's mission use. |

The other series focus mainly on the conflict between political powers and the involvement of Newtypes in these battles, but Unicorn takes off from that and instead roots itself into the mysteries of the era itself. The theme of beings capable of higher forms of communication and understand is taken further, and Laplace's box remains as the central plot element of the series, while in the other TV series, the plots mainly revolve around a war. |

| For obvious reasons, I find that Unicorn is really entertaining. The animation is superb although they opt for retro-style character design. The soundtrack is also nice, with a touch of rock and instrumental. Overall, I like this Gundam series very much. I'm very tempted to read the manga but I'm scared that it might spoil some epic moments when they are revealed in the anime. I can hardly wait for August! Off topic: Which Blu-ray version should I get, BSS or Thora? |

On topic: In the final scene during the Unicorn's NT-D transformation, the beams from the Kshatriya's funnels are deflected around the Unicorn in a sphere-like barrier. My initial impression was that it was the Unicorn's I-Field generator at work, but I have a vague memory of reading somewhere that the Unicorn's I-Field generator was mounted on its shield, which it clearly does not possess. My question is: What's happening? Is my information correct? And please don't say he's manipulating the funnels, because no matter what he can do with the funnels themselves he can't possibly bend the beams with his mind. |

Your right the I field generator is only in it's shield, The only thing I can possibly think of is, The NT-D can "hack/take control of" other Psycommu systems, maybe in that instant the Unicorn hacked her funnels and changed the beams in some way? Or maybe it was a electromagnetic discharge made by the energy release of the psycoframe luminescence phenomenon? |

| Unicorn has brought back gundam to me. I was worried I'd be stuck with 00 spin-offs for the rest of my life. Huzzah! |
