This massive fight was truely an amazing spectacle. And Subaru's commet in the end about how this was just a midway point in achieving his goal was hilarious.

Also Crusch just leveled up big time in my heart.

Best episode of the season, so far, for me at least. Subarus finally, finally managed to make substantial character growth to make this episode the best one. Fingers crossed for the rest of the episodes.

By some miracle, they actually defeated the whale. I wasn't expecting them to launch an all out attack on the tree and for it to fall on the whale, now that's a new one.

The moments after the battle between Crusch and Subaru was nice to watch, it seems she has some real respect for what he has done, seems Wilhelm has respect for him too. Crusch even sent half of her uninjured military forces with Subaru to go and defeat the witch's cult. These last few episodes are certainly going to be interesting, that's for sure.

the white whale was defeated wow, Happy tha Wilhelm survived and got his revenge, also its really great to see Subarus character development and how people respect him now, Also the relationship between rem and Subaru is awesome,really loved this episode, to the real problem. Seems my guess was half right. Also, Wilhelm is an old man, but has the mentality and impulse control of a small child. This obnoxious idiot has to be the worst character in the series.

The later scenes with Rem were cute, I'll admit. If it weren't for what she pulled when Subaru was working at the clown mansion, then you could say she'd be a decent partner to Subaru, but it's hard to overlook how easily she went down the aforementioned route.

So far the best episode, it was also one of the happiest ones yet, in my opinion. Wilhelm has managed to become my favorite side character in just these past 2 episodes.

Excellent episode, an interesting question would be, what would have happened if the big tree wasn't there? would they have defeated her? I think so, but many more would have died... maybe almost all of them.
Quite a shame that someone weaker and insignificant is still standing while you are shaking with fear, although it could also be because Subaru is no longer so right in the head haha
Honestly, I remembered Wil's story with his wife much better, now that I re-watched it, half of it is missing... we saw how he despised her and the next episode he loved her xd they forgot why in between, even so, the OST+ the music elevated it
Incredible what recognition Subaru earned, the efforts have positive results
Crusch TOP 2 of the candidates, first Emilia although honestly as a ruler I prefer Crusch I see her as more suitable for the position, Emilia... she didn't show me anything... well she is very good but she doesn't convince me as a ruler at the moment
Time to move on to the 2nd fight with the help of the love rival haha

The appearance of the three whales stunned the group. But Subaru worked it out that the other two whales are just doppelgangers. So they concentrated on attacking the distant whale. Crush recognized Subaru's courage and provided him with some troops to fight the witch cultists.

@AnicatOfTheWater I don't mind Julius at all I think he's a great character, and you're right Julius did nothing wrong but that smug face he has is pretty annoying tbh

incredible episode. Wilhelm's triumph, Crusch's devotion, Subaru & Rem's love - so many emotional moments. This arc is hitting so much better on a rewatch.

7. bölümden sonra ortalamanın üstünde olan tek bölümdü benim için (sona doğru subaru ve rem'in bombok muhabbetlerini saymıyorum). Ayrıca bu bölüm neden Emilia'nın hükümdar olmaması gerektiğini çok güzel açıklıyor; tabii ki hükümdar o olacak ama tahtta kimse oturmasa Emilia'dan daha iyi yönetir eminim. That was a beautiful conclusion to the arc. I like how by the end of each arc, Subaru ends up receiving more respect from people around him. Kinda felt bad for the whale though. Probably cus I've watched Princess Mononoke lol> 3:35 AM, September 14th 2025
