| cosplayed as Toshiro Hijikata from Gintama twice (late 2022 and summer 2023), and both times a random con-"artist" attending those anime conventions suddenly spoke to me and called me out in a light-hearted tone for smoking in a closed area, even if i never actually smoked a single cigarette for the entire life and that one i was holding in my mouth is just a prop for impersonating the character, but the obvious real reason was that they both wanted to scam me out of some of my money for "charity" reasons impossible to demonstrate. Both times i said no, obviously, but if i cosplay as him again i hope it won't happen for yet another time... those people have no dignity, still appear way too often at these kind of events on the gates outside and inside too (even if law enforcement and organizers have slowly begun to face this problem as years went by), and i don't feel bad for immediately putting them in their place as soon as they try to approach me with angry words or straight up ghosting them. |
