^Yes, I have two different editions of that book. It is among my very favorite tales of revenge.

Yes. Once as required reading and another time voluntarily—both in the unabridged version. I enjoy the book despite its numerous criticisms, but I’ve rarely encountered a classic that felt so tedious. There are too many unnecessary details and digressions paired with a very slow narrative style... It surprises me that I subjected myself to it twice. -g-
