Incredible episode. So epic and satisfying. I was waiting since the very begining of the series for Yoko to be the generous and confident queen she has become now.

What a lovely and strong person she grew to be. So much difference with this episode compared to the past her in the first episode.

I wish more peolple would know about this anime. It has such a great story and with great character development, especially in Youko's part

What a powerful episode that was, I could watch hundreds of episodes of this anime, a damn shame it's unfinished. The development is incredible to watch.

I never thought one of the worst arcs would slowly turn out to be one of the best. An incredible episode and an amazing speech. Asano's death did help with Youko's first proclamation so he did serve a purpose. Overall a great ending I'd say.

Still the issue remained, this arc was too slow and lengthy. They could have sped up the 1st part or removed some parts here and there, mainly of the 3 girls being Edgy (although Youko's bit was understandable). It really picked up after the plans for the rebellion began. Just wished it would have happened sooner.

Maybe I'm not the only one who noticed but that part in the op (which is also this ep's ed) reminds of me of that iconic Pirates of the Caribbean OST, and this came before that so idk.

I liked how this finale tied up the loose ends to stuff that I had forgotten about. When they revealed that Enho used to be named Otsu, I fucking gasped! It ties it back to the Shisui rebels who use that name as their greeting.

Hans Zimmer - He's a Pirate...guess now I'll be reminded of this series whenever I hum this melody.

I can’t believe I found an anime that conveys the message I need to hear the most right now. From being a people pleaser Youko’s character develops into one that gives inspiration to others to walk the same path of self discovery that she took. The characters of Shoukei and Suzu also inspire others who feel like they’re mentally in the same situation as them that there’s hope for change. I’m glad there’s at least one isekai that takes the true route to fantasy, immaculate world building, while also teaching inspiring lessons that resonate with the audience on a deeper level, and isn’t just another harem, having another lustful or overpowered male MC with the most horrendous set of bland characters. This level of depth and unique/original systems within the worldbuilding reminds me the most of Berserk (manga), showing this is a true gem of a series, and probably the best isekai out there today.

Despite all the above, I still cannot fathom how there’s such a huge group of haters for this series. In the comment section of almost every episode people are complaining about the MC at the start and how the series derails after she becomes Queen. Do these people not understand that the MC’s initial state has to be like this in order for us to see her development?? I also personally believe her time after becoming Queen is another development for becoming more insightful about her kingdom and making the right decisions in the end with the help of brave civilians. The rebellion was such an exciting few episodes filled with strategy and suspense. I can only say these haters would rather prefer an isekai with the overused overpowered MC harem complex with no plot, over a true fantasy worldbuilding and character development with a great female MC masterpiece.
