It's also nice that it shows you what the known effects of alchemy ingredients are because if you ever need to enchant something or whatever and you want a specific effect, I doubt you can remember the effects of each individual ingredient, and just picking up everything without exception also seems a bit problematic :3

No, they're not battlemaids. They have never even left the 9th and 10th floors. The protective elements they wear is basically just that their maid uniforms have some basic defensive strength akin to a high-class item :3

In the LNs there is 1 homunculus maid that appears in volume 1, they assembled at the end of volume 6 though I doubt it'll be animated, then they get quite a bit of screentime in 1 of the 2 sidestories of volume 8, and then they have multiple appearances in volume 10 and 11 like accompanying ainz, dressing him etc :3

Those things are apparently relatively new, but they can also be used in Java. Graphql for example is apparently a new data query language for APIs developed by facebook and used by github to solve some of the issues they encountered with REST APIs :3
So if you want to use an api that uses graphql then you'd of course need to use it regardless of what language you use :3

Well with essential I basically mean that I was supposed to make sword-fighting potiondrinker who also uses magic sometimes. In the end I only skilled the sword-fighting part though ^^;

Yeah, the LN isn't just about ainz, but rather about the interactions between the inhabitants of the new world and ainz and his followers. Both points of view are used throughout the LN, and in the case of the lizardmen arc it's mostly told from their perspective :3

Well the only two harem protagonists in my favourite list are Kodaka and Issei. Issei is an obvious choice and for some reaosn I also like Kodaka. Probably because given his circumstances he does a pretty nice job :3

The overlord racial class is said to be the highest class undead :3

Basically it's a special skill that strengthens the instant death effect of magic and skills to the point of bypassing any immunity or resistance and killing their targets after a certain amount of time had passed. The only way to resist instant death caused in combination with this skill is by the use of a resurrection effect within 12 seconds. Ainz used this skill in combination with cry of the banshee and widen magic. The former is an instant death magic and widen magic increased the range of the AOE till about a radius of 100 meters :3
This is also why the terrain looked like a dessert afterwards :3

Nope. Shalltear was given a resurrection item by her creator Peroroncino. Ainz forced her to use her einherjar which is basically a clone of shalltear with the same stats and equipment but without her special skills and magic and then used the goal of all life is death to her einherjar, all of her other summons and force her to use the resurrection item.
Only after he killed her a second time with fallen down was she truly dead and thus the brainwashing lifted :3
If he hadn't done it this way he couldn't have won :3

The artwork used in the LN is pretty unique to begin with :3


The point of it is basically to make it easier to use than a regular REST api. It allows you to retrieve things in 1 request you would normally need multiple requests for, it allows you to specify exactly what data you need, and it will return that, and that alone. Aside from that there's also the ability to change the api to some extend without needing to create separate v2, v3 etc branches that all need to be maintained :3

In the LN he's never described to glow when he calms down. It is merely described as his emotions forcefully getting subdued by his undead nature. It is not that this no longer happens, it's just that he does less and less "good" things and at one point even said he was scared of himself for being able to do the things he did without feeling anything about it :3

Remember that one of the arguments used by ainz to convince albedo that he would fight shalltear himself is that in all of nazarick, he's the only one left capable of defeating shalltear in a 1 on 1 fight? Not including 1 hidden character who has yet to be introduced :3

I assume that in the anime they had to visually do something since there is no narrator who could tell the viewer that he calmed down. I wish that glowing wouldn't happen in some Albedo scenes though. Funny thing is in the episode discussion to episode 2 someone complained about how predictable the story is, since Ainz will obviously save the Lizardmen from whoever is attacking them. After some people told him that it's Ainz who is attacking them in the first place he said that he doesn't like a villain as protagonist. Seems like he wanted his predictable story after all xD

Ah you meant it that way, possibly. Not really surprising though, anime adaptions of seriuos tends always to be a bit lighthearted. Exceptions like Hellsing Ultimate are possible of course :3

It was quite surprising to see them adapt so much of the dialogue in this episode, though of course they still didn't adapt the whole conversations :3
If anything I guess this arc is good for world building ^^

Albedo is the floor guardian with the highest defensive strength. Shalltear is overall the strongest because she not only has the largest overall stats, she also has very good self-healing ability because of her spuit lance allowing her to outlast the other guardians, and on top of that she even has a resurrection item unlike the other guardians.
Her entire build is based on 1v1 pvp combat which places her in a higher pvp category than even ainz who's build is much more focused on rpg than pvp.
Her being the strongest is why she's the guardian of the first 3 floors while albedo's role isn't the defense of a floor but rather the general management and supervising of the activities of the other floor guardians :3

Pandora's actor's strength isn't very well known. We don't know if he could take on shalltear in a 1v1 fight or not, though "rumor" says he could maybe do it. The thing with Pandora's actor is that he is the most diverse and capable of taking on the shape that will have the greatest effect. He has 45 forms he can take, which includes all of the supreme beings, though he can only use 80% of their power which for example means he can't use Ainz's super tier magic and the undead he creates are a bit weaker too :3

But when you need to use an API for whatever reason, better hope to god that it's not a SOAP one. I've had to use 1 of those too and god it was awful xD

The main threat in the LN is the unknown like are there perhaps other players who will appear at some point, and the other threat would be the question of loyalty of the NPCs :3

I wouldn't say she's dumb, but the 3 smartest characters in nazarick are said to be albedo, demiurge and pandora's actor. Shalltear is often shown to not being able to keep up with some of the things demiurge and albedo say. Which sometimes helps ainz when he can't follow them either xD

So does that mean you've read her character page as well? Shouldn't it be obvious that you shouldn't do that? :P

I was actually already thinking if someone of the characters we saw in episode one might be actually a player... like that dragon seemed kinda suspicious. Loyalty at least doesn't seem to be a problem so far with the NPCs Ainz trusts :3
