| In a production where the animation team, director and production schedule were so hyped and praised to high heavens before the show even started airing, you wouldn't think that the OST made by a young (born in 1991) and relatively inexperienced composer would end up being one of the highlights of this show. I mean, just listen to Ishtar's theme (15. Goddess of Venus). | Babylonia just achieved a miracle. I didn't only tolerate Jaguar in this episode, I actually enjoyed her presence. Seriously, kudos to the director. Mashu's "back off, bitch" was somehow scarier than Ana's explicit "This Jaguar in an eyesore. This Jaguar in an eyesore. This Jaguar in an eyesore. This Jaguar in an eyesore. This Jaguar in an eyesore. This Jaguar in an eyesore. This Jaguar in an eyesore. This Jaguar in an eyesore." Quetz was as amazing as anticipated. The last line in the episode makes it quite clear what choice they're going to take when the time comes. Ishtar and Gil's verbal smack was a treat as expected. This seriously makes me wanna see a Gil/Rin team up in a grail war (outside of that one comic). This is the very first time we see Harem Protagonist EX animated. Ritsuka's ability to say the right words to each Servant is top-notch. |

Let's just take a moment to realize what this is though. This is a spinoff of a spinoff of a spinoff (Koha-Ace > GudaGuda > type Redline). Sasuga Fate, even the meme "Fate's spinoffs get spinoffs" is no longer adequate to describe Redline. |

So a living Hitler is out of question and I dont feel like a Servant one would do good for a story. Even as a villain Servant it would rub upset many people.Not me but I am not the one deciding stuff. I feel like it is too soon for him. Others like Iskandar or even Oda arent controversial because they are so freaking old. |

Their approach generally just seems to be ''ignore and wait for it to fuck off''. Part of which can be contributed to their general lack of communication with their fanbase. |

They did redesing gil's skin in Extella tho. But well.. I know Japan doesnt care, but it is us that will keep seeing the bs in anime threads. Some elements like Servant design and abilities are serious, but the story and characters themselves are mostly ebin memes. Okita's and Nobunaga's Masters are Kohaku and Akiha respectively, and one of the major villains is a Nazi Medusa so... The only precedent to a serious take on Koha Ace is the GudaGuda events in FGO where Nobunaga and Okita are written as actual, serious characters at times. and how "true to original" Redline will be So-so. It'll stick to the general setting and premise, and likely the direction of the story, but will omit obviously gag elements in order to make a more serious, dramatic rendition of it's story-telling. For one, we know they're replacing Kohaku and Akiha as Okita's and Nobunaga's Masters with completely new characters. They did redesing gil's skin in Extella tho. This is a common misconception, by the way. The decision to redesign Gilgamesh's Nazi look-alike outfit in Extella was done on Marvelous' decision, not T-M's. Marvelous is a semi-large Japanese game development company and had actual plans on localizing Extella for an overseas release, so the decision was made solely based on their own standpoint with likely little to no input from T-M. Especially considering Marvelous was in charge of the development, localization and PR work regarding the game. And like I said, T-M's approach to backlash and controversy is essentially just ''ignore it and wait for it to fuck off''. Same goes for DelightWorks. Its what they've been doing for literally every controversy that's popped up surrounding FGO and will likely continue to do. Fuck knows if they ignore it because the backlash comes from a minority of people and they know that, or if they ignore it because they don't really give a rat's ass either way. There's been worse controversies than the Gilgamesh thing and they've never bothered replying even once to any of them or even acknowledging they ever happened. |
