| I've been trying to change my forum pic recently, but in addition to the delay I recently discovered that when the switch happened it was only one one of my two browsers. Safari displays the new one, Firefox still has the old one o__O For the record, the new one is bishie!Kyubey while the old one was Jin Kisaragi. |

| It does get changed instantly, somebody who've never seen you before on the forums would see the new picture whereas somebody who've seen you before would see your old one. | This delay happens because mal uses a content delivery network to serve all these images, and a header is sent to your computer telling it to cache the image for an hour to prevent tons of repeated downloads of images that rarely change. While it can sometimes take hours to update it does eventually update. If it takes more than a day or so, then the solution in most cases is to clear your browser cache (sometimes called temporary internet files), or to simply hold the Shift key and refresh the page. Some browsers use Ctrl+refresh instead. Manually clearing the cache should show the new image within a couple hours, especially if you are seeing different pictures on different browsers/computers. If not, there may have been an error uploading the image which should have displayed when you uploaded it. Don't upload GIF, since it's not allowed. Upload a JPG or PNG instead that is not too large. |

| Xinil recently posted an announcement that they have begun moving the profile images to a new location as the SVN system is implemented (to make code updates easier). | Avatar and profile pic updates aren't immediate. It takes some time but they do update. Even if your computer is caching the old version, other people will probably see it within an hour or two. Try clearing your browser cache, or just be patient.  |

When you go to my profile do you see the same pick at the one from Cencoroll from "Recently Watched By" ? Just curious @.@. |

| I believe it's just a matter of waiting. The 30min. notice is not really accurate. You should at least say 24hrs because it usually takes days. I'm still waiting on Friday's changes to pop up. I'm not mad or anything, just hoping it'll change eventually. [Edit] Tried again just now with a new pic and it uploaded instantly! щ(ﾟДﾟщ) |

The images are additionally cached on your own computer for an hour, so clearing your browser cache can help, but it's best just to be patient and they'll fix themselves. |

| I've been trying to change my profile picture for more than 5 hours already and I don't know what its problem is but it still doesn't want to change. I tried to remove the old profile picture at around 10 times up already, re-upload the new picture, but all it presents is the old picture. |
