| This....was surprisingly quite good. The direction was good, the pacing was just right, and more importantly, it didn't have any of the bullshit rambling inner monologues that ruined the first season for me. I guess it's thanks to the new director. |

I thought the titans were just another side of humanity that for some reason wanted to kill others, but if so why don’t they already know about the weapons they use to fight them? Also I think a talking titan was mentioned in some OVA years ago, but I don’t remember. Hajime Isayama is going for that obvious shock factor - killing every secondary character one by one. |

| wow, it was the actual worst episode in comparison with all the episodes in season 1. absolutely 0 recaps, everything is rushed, 50000 things happening at the same time... it looks like umineko no naku koro ni : you understand nothing because there are 1 million characters, they all die so you don't really care about anything, and everything is rushed. it was less rushed in season 1. dafuq with the animals in the OP. they should add mecha-titans, then earth-sized titans and god titans. too much is too much. that anime is just blood for blood, like mortal kombat. it's going to have an ending as shitty as evangelion, I'm 100% sure of it. for now, I'll leave a 4/10. (I gave a 7 for season 1) |

| I am really glad that Attack on Titan is back. Well, I started watching the first season of the show a couple of days ago (yes, I am late a bit, lmao) and I must say the transition between seasons is great and the actual episode was awesome, showcasing and opening new twists and plot points with Titans in the wall (I am looking at you Government and The Church) Beast Titan and new Titan invasion on Wall Rose. The animation is gorgeous, worth the wait, the only so-so moment was CGI animation of horses but that wasn't bad either. Music is good as expected from Sawano and the OP song is also great especialy when it's fused with visuals. In first, I didn't like the song but after third listen it started growing on me. Really excited to see where this will go... Strong start, I hope they will continue to deliver the good quality of the show. 5/5 for the episode |

Alaso shounen is a demographic not a genre. these series are seinen https://myanimelist.net/anime/5680/K-On elfin lied and other seinen series that are far from mature are called seinen. A series being in a shounen magazine does not prevent it from being matrue or being geared to a older audience. Death note is another example of shounen series that many thought was a seinen series. What you talk about Hanji holding the guy is not something that is exclusive to only shounen series, its pretty much anime in general or entertainment medium in general. This is why there is a thing called suspension of disbelief, fiction is not real world, just like the 3d gear would be impossible to use in real life. Don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing with your opinion, I'm just annoyed that you are labeling all these complaints as something that is only exclusive to shounen series, which is not the case. This is anime in general. |

| Episode was great didn't disappoint at all, but the op and ed are meh, the op is a copy of the first one the ed is wired af but it fits with the anime .. So that's that. Anyway I'm so happy it's finally back ... so excited for the rest of the episodes. |

They're on standby after they captured the female titan back at end of S1. Wall rose is the 2nd wall. They presume it has fallen since titans appeared. No they mean villages within the wall (they cover vast areas of Land). |

| First ep was already tense and it was amazing but I have never felt like shit. I shouldn't have watched it with the hopes of seeing Mike live. Makes me wonder why I even expected casts in AoT to last in the first place lmao |

The majority of the events of the first episode take place 12 hours before the fight between Eren and Annie from Season 1. Since at the moment it had just been discovered that Annie was the Female Titan, they put the rest of the 104 scouts (Sasha, Connie, Reiner, Bertolt, Ymir, Krista) off-duty somewhere else, just in case there were more Titan shifters among them. The Wall that was broken in Season 1 was Wall Maria, so humanity has lost what's between Wall Maria and Wall Rose. Meaning, Wall Rose (middle class) and Wall Sina (high class and royalty) are still inhabited. Now they got a warning that Wall Rose has fallen, which would mean pretty much the end of humanity at this point. Their mission right now is both to defeat those titans and to help evacuate people living in Wall Rose (that's why they mentioned Sasha and Connie's villages: unlike Eren, Mikasa and Armin, they came from the middle class). Meanwhile, back in Wall Sina, Eren just woke up after his fight. Levi and Erwin are just being notified of the situation, and Hange was interrogating the priest about the titan in the Wall.
